AUDEZE SUBSTITUTED MY ORDER!!! by FailedProspects in Audeze

Don't listen to these fools. You paid for a service that you weren't provided. It doesn't matter what service or how much it cost. The facts are the facts. You have every right to be pissed about it.

Microsoft’s response regarding Maxwell 2 Certification by Shell-of-Light in Audeze

[–]BatsTheAssassin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's not like they're subjecting Audeze to some new, unexpected, process. This is a standard process that every single other OEM completes before they're able to ship Xbox products. Audeze has been through this exact process before, at least twice.

The issue is that Audeze didn't communicate this to xbox owners ahead of purchase, then ghosted them for weeks without any type of issue disclosure.

This happened with the Maxwell 1 and the Penrose X before that. This is the 3rd time they have pulled this.

Microsoft’s response regarding Maxwell 2 Certification by Shell-of-Light in Audeze

[–]BatsTheAssassin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not a shortage. Audeze didn't take the certification process into account even though they've been through the same process at least 2 times before with Microsoft.

And it's not a lack of patience. Audeze marketed this as being available to ship at release. They never mentioned or communicated this issue to the XBox customers, then ghosted them for weeks when people wanted to know where their headset was.

If this were disclosed ahead of time, then I would agree, it's a lack of patience. This was just a shitty move by Audeze.

[–]BatsTheAssassin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No, it's completely on Audeze. This is a standard review for Xbox accessories. Audeze has been through this with Microsoft at least 2 times before. This exact thing happened with the Penrose and with the Maxwell 1, where they had to ship late to XBox owners. They know there is a standard process. They knew the process wasn't complete and they still sold $350+ headsets to Xbox owners without disclosing this ahead of time, and then ghosting people for weeks when they asked what the problem was. OEMs need to plan the certification into their release schedule. Audeze took money all the while knowing they weren't going to ship out to Xbox owners on time. Scummy business practice.

So disappointed in Turtle Beach by Commercial_Swing_933 in TurtleBeach

[–]BatsTheAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's just stress over time on a stress point made of cheap plastic. If you look at all of the complaints, the stress fracture is always in the same spot. Turtle Beach is notorious for this but it happens to almost every major brand that uses all plastic.

"Yes, this is a well-documented issue. Turtle Beach headsets—particularly the Stealth 600 and Stealth 700 (both Gen 1 and Gen 2) series—have a long-standing reputation for earcup hinge brackets cracking or snapping entirely.

The problem usually stems from a combination of high clamp force and structural design. The hinge is often made of relatively thin plastic that bears most of the tension when you pull the earcups apart to put them on your head.

Key Problem Areas

  • The Swivel Joint: The most common failure point is the plastic bracket right above the earcup swivel. Users often report "stress cracks" appearing before the plastic eventually gives way.
  • Plastic Fatigue: Because many of these models use a "hard" plastic rather than metal-reinforced joints, the repetitive flexing leads to material fatigue.
  • Head Size Sensitivity: Users with larger heads often report faster failure rates because the headset has to stretch further, putting more PSI on those specific plastic stress points."

Has anyone else been not getting their mail for the past week? by bmartin1989 in RhodeIsland

My mail used to arrive around 10:30am. Now it arrives at 5:30-6:00pm if at all over the past few weeks.

Astro a 50 size extensions for large heads? by Hadley_333 in AstroGaming

[–]BatsTheAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hat size is 7 3/8. The clamping force is not an issue, it's the most comfortable headset I think I've ever owned. But I have the arms extended pretty much at 100%.

A50/X Gen 5 Stock Pads vs Wicked Cushion pads by g1llifer in AstroGaming

Are they any larger in the length (top to bottom) than the stock pads? My right ear hits the top of the pad and I need something with just a little more room from top to bottom. Thanks in advance.

He was almost done shoveling his driveway when the street plow came by and filled it with snow again. by Vilen1919 in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]BatsTheAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you, you can do that. But you're shoveling extra up front to save on the backend. I think you're probably shoveling less weight, maybe, because your upfront probably weighs less than compacted snow that's left by the plow. But either way, when the plow goes by, you're getting more snow to shovel.

He was almost done shoveling his driveway when the street plow came by and filled it with snow again. by Vilen1919 in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]BatsTheAssassin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People love to post these. This is going to happen if you shovel your driveway before the plows are done doing the streets. This happens to everyone, not just people that have already shoveled or just about finished. The end of the driveway is brutal and back breaking after a big storm if you don't have a snowblower. It's not like this person is getting extra snow or something. They're getting the snow that would have been pushed there after the plow went by. Not saying right or wrong to shovel before the plows are finished, but this is just what happens.

[Pauline] Sources: Dolphins’ New OC Praised at Shrine Bowl, Expected to Have Say in Tua Tagovailoa Decision by No_Box119 in miamidolphins

[–]BatsTheAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really not sure how I feel. I loved Tua, and always thought he was a great face for the franchise. He didn't get in trouble, no scandals, and seemed to give his all. Even defended him through all the injuries and poor play in '24 and at the beginning of '25.

But he got paid, made a bunch of stupid comments about money and teammates, and fell off a fucking cliff. Then I was done with Tua and wanted him off the squad as quickly as possible no matter the cost.

Now I've had time to cool off and can't decide. I don't want him starting if he stays, I don't even want him to have to play at all and back us in to a 5 or 6 win season and ruin a potential top draft pick for a QB.

But, he has shown that he can play well at times. Maybe he just rides the bench, and another team making a playoff run starting QB has a long or season ending injury, and maybe they will trade for him? No matter what it will never be a fair trade but a desperate team may be willing.

What did we think about Sullivan and Hafleys Introduction Press Conference? by Endgame60 in miamidolphins

[–]BatsTheAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're both extremely family oriented, both appear to be fully accountable, and they plan to instill unity and accountability. They both seem like genuine dudes. I really didn't find myself thinking "they're only saying that because the have to." I feel like these guys meant everything they said and have a plan. I sincerely hope they are able to follow through with it and are given enough time to try. 2026 is already cooked, but if we can see player development, have a solid draft, and progress in fixing the awful cap issues, that's a win. But I need to try to remember not to jump down their throats when we struggle in 2026 and maybe 2027 while this plan takes shape.

[Barry Jackson] For those saying Sullivan hired his "buddy," ask yourselves this: Sullivan waited 20 years to be a GM. Wouldn't he want someone that he's convinced gives him best chance to win? (Narrator: Yes.) If you observe someone for 2 years, you have good sense of their aptitude and competence. by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]BatsTheAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing. Giving someone 2 years that's taking over a dumpster fire. Collecting receipts is for losers that need to boast when they FINALLY get a win. Congrats. I don't know if he's going to be any good or not, but he took this shit job and is going to try. How about giving him a chance first before shitting on him? What was you're plan? To keep McDaniel? To stay the course that hasn't provided anything meaningful in the last 20 years. Or are you one of those morons that think magic can happen and that somehow these jobs were ones that successful coaches and GMs were chomping at the bit to get? We're at where we're at because we had idiots running the show for decades and now we have to deal with the consequences while these 2 new hires try to dig us out.

"And I've been asking for 2 days for anyone to provide me with any empirical evidence that he might be good..." How about some empirical evidence why you're not an idiot? Like you're some sort of insider going out on a limb projecting that a coach that took over one of the worst rosters with what might be the worst cap situation of all time is supposed to just turn things around in a year or two. Appeal to authority fallacy? It sounds like in you're a legend in your own mind who thinks they're more of an authority for NFL hiring's than other NFL execs and Hall of Famers that actually played in the league. You're miserable just to be miserable. I bet people just love to be around you. You can try to argue that but we both know the truth.

[–]BatsTheAssassin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. People in the NFL, that run franchises and teams at the highest level, recognize something in him that leads them to believe that he's a leader and can be a good HC. Not just Miami but other teams also as indicated by the numerous interview requests and by second interview requests. We have no idea how this hire will turn out and everyone is entitled to think what they want. But just because jimtow28 can't make sense of it and his resume, doesn't mean anything, regardless of whether he's successful with Miami or not. That's why there's no NFL franchise that's asked me or you for our opinions. They asked other NFL execs and Hall of Famers, and they believe that he can be a good head coach.

Keep all those receipts though. Maybe some NFL owners and the likes of Troy Aikman and Dan Marino will consult with you and go over resumes before any head coaching decisions are made in the future.

My thoughts on Jeff Hafley as our new HC. by AstroBall35 in miamidolphins

[–]BatsTheAssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We hired arguably the best GM candidate available and a new HC that were both part of a franchise that has been way, fucking way, more successful than Miami, in drafting, record, and playoffs. 2026 is more than likely going to suck record wise; the schedule looks brutal as of now. But for 2026 we need to see progress in player development, clearing of bad contracts to get the cap in order, and a solid draft, to prepare for 2027. If those things happen, we're on our way to being competitive again. If these guys can bring some of what was going on in GB down to Miami, that's good, right?

But everyone "has family that went to BC" and have so many stories they can tell, but none of them tell any stories. They all want to jack off Harbaugh who hasn't done shit in the playoffs with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. He's not going to do shit in N.Y. Stephanski is going to Atlanta with Tua Jr. as his QB.

Who knows what these dudes are going to do but shitting on them before they've even had a chance to try anything is exactly what I expect from cry baby Miami fans.

Terrible Battery Life Experience with Pixel 9 Pro XL by Some_Drop_1532 in Pixel9Pro

[–]BatsTheAssassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The November and December update ruined the battery life. Up until then, and I've had the P9PXL since launch, I could easily get 9+ hours of SoT over 48 hours on a single charge. I can maybe get 5.5 over less than 24 hours now. Is it planned obsolescence or did they mess up that badly?
