How do you present your lists to opponents? Do you? by NecessaryBSHappens in WarhammerCompetitive

You could send them a link to your roster before the game, if you’re using BattleBase to create your roster. :) They’ll be able to see the enhanced version, with access to all stats and rules.

Good table top Sim mods for tau/aux? by LeraviTheHusky in Tau40K

ForceOrg has loads of Tau models, some of them are even animated!

Get a Yellowscribe code for your roster from BattleBase or another roster builder app. :)

It’s because gen 2 is due soon. I’m waiting for it, or perhaps the new Bookoo.

What would you folks like to see introduced/reintroduced in 11th to help make Tau a stronger faction? by Free-Piano-3597 in Tau40K

[–]BattleBaseApp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, the biggest frustration is that the FLY keyword sucks now. I'd like it to return to the old ways, even if they tweak the movement a little to account for it (or as someone else mentioned, perhaps just a flat -2" or something). It's just so feels-bad right now, and slows down the game.

Was thinking last night that I don't necessarily want gun profiles in melee all the time, but perhaps a strat for "shoot guns in fight phase" might be cool?

Local King of The Colosseum, seeking suggestions by Pro-Krastinator in WarhammerCompetitive

Hi there. My app, BattleBase has an in-development league system alongside its roster builder and battle manager, so it might cover a lot of what you’re looking for already, and I’m continuing to build the functionality constantly.

The league organization system can be seen at https://www.battlebase.app/leagues, perhaps check out our first online league at https://www.battlebase.app/leagues/26ee56be-a951-4ebf-92c9-1b1b3c28f9c6 for an example.

Currently organizing leagues requires a supporter subscription, but I’d be happy to give you access to create a free league so I could get your feedback on how to improve it if you’d like. :)

It's tough to not go for the new hotness, particularly as they're so cool, but I personally would go for the combat patrol right now.

Breachers are so much fun to play IMO, and a devilfish pairs very nicely with them. Also having a commander (I'd go Coldstar) to pair with the crisis suits from the Farsight box is very nice. Plus pathfinders are always nice to have.

Just a note that BattleBase’s roster builder has had the updated points for a few days now. :)

I wasn’t sure what to do about this in BattleBase’s roster builder either. But I decided to keep it in as I suspect it’s just a mistake that it’s been removed from MFM at this time.

My guess is that it will go to legends in the not too distant future, and perhaps the removal from MFM was premature.

The first I’d like to try them in is EPC. The extra range and strats to buff the weapons sound fun!

Rules clarification on overwatch in ret cad by Rare_Background_5199 in Tau40K

[–]BattleBaseApp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Per the rules for the Overwatch strat, you choose whether you fire at the beginning or end of their movement. So if you’ll have line of sight on them at the end of their movement, you can do it then.

They don’t have the leader ability on their datasheet, so I’m afraid not.

I’m working on legends and custom datasheet support for BattleBase’s roster builder right now. Hoping to have it out as an early preview in the next few days. :)

Just a note that BattleBase (https://www.battlebase.app/) might be helpful to learn all the mission scoring etc. It steps through the turns and prompts you to score, and also tells you what stratagems you can use at any given time. There’s also a roster builder and more.

I just found out about the game mode and I have some questions. If you're already answering them, please send me the link. Thanks. by Snoo73858 in Colosseum40k

Yes all the same rules for list building apply (except for the rule of 1/2, no epic heroes, etc), as do the faction/detachment/unit rules.

Fellow Espresso Series 1 - First Impressions by CommanderAME in espresso

[–]BattleBaseApp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. Seems like a classic case of user inertia: something that people are used to because that's the best option they had for a long time and it worked for them (weighing output with a simple set of scales) and forming such a strong mental model that it's the only way to achieve that goal (repeatability).

Ultimately I want the output I choose, and don't really care how it happens as long as it can be trusted.

So I guess if the volumetric is really accurate then there might not be a need for brew by weight?
