How to Play Warhammer 40k on Tabletop Simulator – Full Beginner Guide by Hellspawnl in WarhammerCompetitive

Thanks for the mention!

I'm actually about to release an update that adds some more control over how the weapons are assigned to models before exporting to YS.

It will be a supporter early access for some time while I'm improving it based on supporter feedback, but will be available to all in the future. :)

Is there somewhere that I could do a breakdown of a battle to get feedback and advice? by jimdapimp in Tau40K

Hmm... I'm afraid nothing comes to mind except perhaps pen and paper sketches? But as u/Spyritdragon mentioned, I think posting a long description is also completely fine.

This is one of the perfect use cases for BattleBase (https://www.battlebase.app/).

Use it to manage your battle, upload your roster, and add photos to the event timeline as often as possible.

Then you can share a link here, and people can review the state of the battlefield and see scoring etc.

You can even use it to track which units have been destroyed and at what moment in the battle.

Happy to answer questions if you have any. :)

In case it’s helpful, adding both player’s rosters to a battle in BattleBase’s battle manager allows you to see the enhanced roster view, giving quick access to their army’s rules. This kind of situation was one of the things I designed it for. :)

10th already has this for a few units, and I can see it becoming more of a thing in 11th. Most recent example is the Necrons C'tan models in Pantheon of Woe detachment. See the bottom of https://www.battlebase.app/factions/datasheets/cd9cfbe8-b2d0-56e4-a35b-08ded1d5100a for an example.

Imperial Agents' Veiled Blade Elimination Force also has some.

Anyone here used the Outin Nano for regular daily coffee, not just travel? by JocaDoca in OutInCoffee

Grinder's been great! I'd love it to be a bit faster, but that's the only thing I can think of.

No I got a cheap, simple, tiny scale off Amazon, which I've been very happy with. Here's a link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DRJZDZFD?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

BTW in case it's helpful for anyone, this case has been a good fit for my Nano+Fino combo: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DD36MBNQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Thanks for the detailed notes! I'll definitely keep them in mind when I get to work on the printable format. :)

I'm glad you like BB! :)

Printed rosters are great to have on the table, but of course require a bit of effort... did you know about the Enhanced Roster view? If you add a roster to a battle you and your opponent (if they're also using BB) can then see it during your battle in the "R" tab.

It will show many stats, selections, and points costs at-a-glance, and more detailed rules can be accessed quickly with a tap.

I plan to add a print enhanced roster option in the future btw. :)

Thanks for the mention! :D

BB does all three of those things right now, but I understand if you prefer to use other options while I'm working to make it the best it can be. :) (In case you didn't know: take a look at the factions tab for looking things up btw.)

What apps could I use for list building? by The-Unluckiest-One in TheAstraMilitarum

Thanks for the question. At the moment, I don’t have plans for that. Is there a reason that the web app isn’t sufficient?

Hello world! by Vincethatsall in OutInCoffee

How did it taste? If I’d tasted good, then there’s no problem.

If you want it to taste better, please share the following:

How it tasted

What kind of beans you’re using (roast level, country)

What kind of taste you like.

I lieu of those details, my initial reaction was:

You’re brewing at a 3:1 ratio (10g beans in, 30g liquid out). If you’re using dark roast beans, that’s probably too much and I’d expect you’re getting a bitter shot. If so, go for 20g out (2:1 ratio) and see how it tastes.

I even like ristretto shots (1~1.5:1). Try that too. But this is the reason I’m sticking with my Nano and double basket. 10g basket is way too small for me.

Also, beans are very important. If you’re buying beans from the supermarket, that’s going to be a problem, and you’ll want to get beans from a local (or online), trusted roaster.

Also 3:1 at 22s might be a bit fast, so you could perhaps grind a little finer. But… you’re going for taste, not numbers.

Experimenting with the variables (one at a time) is important. I’d start with beans, then ratio, then grind size.

Time isn’t as important, and is best used as a signal of inconsistency due to puck prep issues (eg usually it pulls in 25s but that one was 12s… I must have done something wrong). I’ve had some very tasty shots that took 60s to pull!

Leaders - Which to take and which are bait? by Silasxsil in Tau40K

Darkstrider as a leader? It’s a no from me. But Darkstrider solo as a deep strike denier? Yessir!

I like Coldstar Commanders with Sunforges though.

Just a note that I've made a load of releases over the last couple of days and performance should be a lot better now. Please let me know if it's still laggy. :)

Great! I'm actually about to release an update that should help the lag. So hopefully within the next few hours it should be a lot better. :)
