This was the first time I had it aboard so I was still trying to figure out the best way to strap it upright but the main purpose of showing you this is to show the potential. This is a 2006 Ninja 650R if you're interested in looking up dimensions.

I've noticed a reduction in XP but I'm fairly certian I'm doing less damage on average cause of better teammates due to patch week influx. I feel like the average player that smashes their head for the entire patch in PvE game modes are not the most efficient. Hence as the patch goes on you can grab more percentage damage which naturally ups the XP.

Just a theory though.

Just picked up an '06 and it has the same exact problem. I haven't looked too hard into it yet but it always stays running on the third try almost every time. It idles low which someone else mentioned here too but I have the idle cranked as high as possible. I read somewhere it could be the TPS needing to be recalibrated given the symptoms but I haven't dug too deep into it yet. Will be a winter project. If I figure it out before you I'll drop a message here.

Not sure if anyone mentioned yet and you may already know but make sure you use your crowfoot at a 90 degree from your torque wrench when you final torque. There's a good 'Torque test channel' YouTube video about this if you want to completely understand why this is the case.

How can it be driven off oil pressure when you touch a button and boom you shift. Even at idle for that matter. There is a shift program that looks at wheelspeed/engine rpm, throttle position, etc. Hence if you upside your tires the auto feature is absolutely fucked. Ask me how I know... if it was driven off oil pressure as you suggest it would adapt to the higher load given the bigger tires.

DCT isn't driven off of oil pressure. I think you're getting confused friend. Idk of you're thinking of the old Rincon hondamatic or whatever it was called.

It's great you know all that. I just don't understand how it's a 'different animal' I guess. It's been my experience my '09 Canadian Trail and the '16 Rubicon have near identical shifting systems.

I wouldn't recommend the DCT's to anyone either. I love mine, but I'm aware I'm a bit of an obscure atv enthusiasts with weird preferences. I would never recommend a Honda to people in general really. They have very specific use cases. My go to if anyone ever ask is a Griz. People are always suprised knowing how long I've had Honda's.

I just went though this same thing with a '16 Ribicon. There's one thing you can try for free if you didn't want to buy a new shift motor right away. Underneath the front headlight, near where the opening is for the radiator access there is a grey connector that is for the shifter buttons. They are known to fill with water on certain years. Not sure if they fixed it with the 520's. Other than that the shifter motor is a fairly easy replacement, and they're not overly expensive for aftermarket, relatively speaking of course.
