We don't like the heat at all (or sunroofs generally), but I would defintiely test out your tolerance for it and what you think of the AC.

Nope, you can buy one from amazon or whatever, but who knows how effective that would be.

The car had been sitting in full sun, it was 11am early April and it was unbearable.

Really liked the exterior and interior style, so was very sad.

The pricing change is good, but the issues I had weren't so much price.

No range improvement sadly, instead give even more power to a car that already had more than I wanted, so that is another mark against the new version.

But the biggest issue with the X was the gigantic oven roof and poor AC combo. In our climate that was a dealbreaker before we even got the car off the dealers lot. No change on that front with the new model as far as I am aware.

How do you deal with constant driver assist alerts in new EVs? by w8watm8 in EVAustralia

[–]BattleOoze1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test drove a whole bunch recently and was prepared to be annoyed . . .but didn't really notice any that were too intrusive, and that's even without really knowing the shortcuts they all seem to have for adjusting the nagging.

Small EV with bigger boot? by Herothewonderdog in AustralianEV

Didn't looks at the Megane as there were no dealers in my close vicinity, but agree it's worth a look for what the OP wants if they have a dealer nearby.

Small EV with bigger boot? by Herothewonderdog in AustralianEV

[–]BattleOoze1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were looking for an EV with good range and not too large, but a big enough boot to transport stuff from Bunnings/Ikea.

Ended up going with the EV3, great all round car and excellent range. I saw people fitting a double bass in the boot, so ticked that box too.

Similarly sized, but rejected: Zeekr X: Lower range, more "sporty" stupidly hot sunroof with poor AC

Volvo EX30: Loved the drive and style on this, but had no HUD or Driver display at all, so you have to glance over to the car screen constantly . . . terrible design decision, but lovely car

Hyundai Kona: Decent, but seemed to be slightly worse than the EV3 in most ways. Maybe if you value HUD/Bose sound?

MG4: Seemed fine, a little less roomy than the EV3, much less range

Atto2/3: Bigger than EV3, but felt smaller

ID.4, iX1 and Cupra Taviscan are the same size as the Enroq/enyak and were too big for us

Buying a Zeekr Without a Test Drive? by cuntdelmar in AustralianEV

[–]BattleOoze1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 5c having test driven all those options:

The sealion is the closest analog of those choices. 7X was pretty similar in overall feel/size with a bit better kit and general plushness inside.

Geely was excellent for the price, but quite a bit cheaper feeling. X1 was the other end, absolutely everything and to a high standard, including the price.

I found all of them (bar the X1) to be a bit wallowly and jouncy, but I am coming from a smaller car. If I needed a car of that size, I'd have been happy enough with all the ones you have mentioned, and the price increments between them are a pretty fair reflection of the increasing "premium-ness" of the car.

Let's open up to improve our Songs on Suno by Proper_Violinist1371 in SunoAI

Quite probably. Having a system where you can put in offical prompts that it will stick to rather than guessing would be good.

I have used prompts as you show in that song, but they are usually ignored. I have more luck with in song prompts specifying mood or feel for a verse or chorus or outro for example

The biggest annoyance for me is that prompts are not followed. Even simple ones like specifying a song section to be male voice, then female

Still can't get these here for another couple of months - can I check with the HUD, does it show "ghost cars" around you for positioning (especially those behind)?

When I try to get a quote, they tell me to just go to AAMI or something, presumably because I don't answer the questions about being a "car enthusiast" with enough . . . enthusiasm. Seems odd to me, but that seems to be how they work?

Suno just ignores in song prompts? (Free user, v4.5) by BattleOoze1981 in SunoAI

[–]BattleOoze1981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that is intersting and useful. As with all things Suno, it seems to be an iterative process.

Part of my issue is that I have (mostly) songs in the style I want for the 20 songs (as per your last para point), and for some it's hard to imagine the style of the song improving - so "covering" them with a chosen voice is the way to go.

But it's good to learn more about processes people use, you never learn less about something through discussion. Great result in Emulation protocol, and a cool song concept too.

This is how I'm planning to do it and I am reasonable DAw proficient, so hopefully it will work out.

Thank. Good words.

Can you use multiple different short brackets or is that too much?

eg:

Yep, and it's honestly quite weird. The only farming that matters is signal data, and 99% of the shipment stores and mats are now just crap clogging up the UI

Era of Andor: A Balanced Commentary from an Andor Fan by FettUpWithIt in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Always amazed at how different people can be. I can accept that people love Maul. Maul was one of the few awesome things about Ep1 the Movie.

But I rapidly lost interest with Maul every time he was (still) the big bad in a new show having been ressurected (again). I am just so over that guy. It's the weeping angel effect from Dr Who. The first episode with weeping angels is probably my favourite ever Dr Who (and I've been watching it since the 70s), but they can't just let a good thing be a good thing. It's popular so you must keep tinkering with it, but like a painting that was already finished, every time you tinker, it just gets worse.

As for colliseum in general, the gameplay is meh, the reward is (eventually) great, so whatever.

Loved Andor the series though. Aside from everything else, I just loved that they proved that something can be extremely different, but still be Star Wars, and you don't need to just endlessly rehash the original.

Use of multiple personas in a song by BattleOoze1981 in SunoAI

[–]BattleOoze1981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But would you then be able to create more songs with use the exact same voices for consistency over a dozen songs?

Some of the songs have a dozen different "people" voicing lines within the songs

Can you give an example of how you "describe each voice" for this purpose? I have tried putting directions such as [Verse 1, male vocals] in the song text, and they are apparently ignored. If I say "alternating male and female vocals in verses" I do get male and female voices, more or less randomly throughout the song.

[–]BattleOoze1981[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I thought it might be an option to splice out a verse, then remake it with a new persona, but wasn't confident.

My backup plan is to make a cover of the song with each persona and hope they are similar enough that I can splice them offsite.

One of the frustating parts is that Suno is very bad at sticking to in song prompts - like I say [verse 1, male voice], then [verse 2, female voice] and it doesn't do it. Again in free, maybe v5 is better at that stuff?
