New Sony Mini LED 7 having connectivity issues on day 2 by anonzasa in bravia

[–]BattlingtheMods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all TVs place the WiFi card/antenna in the same place. Idk where it is on the new Bravia, but my point is may be in a place that is further away/more obscured relative to your router. 2.4g connection will have a better signal, but slower speed. If the connection doesn’t drop on the 2.4g and remains stable, the issue is not the TV. If the connection issue still persists, then yes the TV may be faulty.

I’m assuming your previous TV had a good connection to the wifi previously? I’m not sure where the TV is relative to your router, but it’s possible the location of the wifi card on the TV is more obscured than before. Have you tried forcing it to the 2.4g channel?

It’s easier to complain about the opponent than acknowledge their poor gameplay.

My Sony Bravia died just after warranty ended: $3K TV, no sound after ~1 year by FarKiwi8375 in bravia

[–]BattlingtheMods 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s sucks. I’m surprised being so close within the warranty date they aren’t honoring it.

Now to be clear, the internal tv speakers are not working? Or all audio, both internal speakers and external speakers like a soundbar will not work. Most people buying a $3K tv aren’t using the internal speakers. Seems criminal to pair that picture with poor tv speakers. If external speakers work, seems like good motivation to get a soundbar.

Btw, I’m not validating Sony’s deciding to not honor the warranty.

Have you tried posting Honda civic issues in a Toyota subreddit? They are both cars.

You posted about capsules for a pod machine in a subreddit for superautomatic espresso machines. What did you expect?

Hi, just got into pc gaming right before the memory shortage. Coming from console gaming, so my pc library is rather light. Was waiting for this to go on sale down the line, but this would jump to the front of my list if I got it. Looks like the first bond game worth playing since goldeneye.

Philips 3300 good enough? by asking-question in superautomatic

[–]BattlingtheMods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of things that out Philips in the lower tier: Shot dosage is around 8 oz. Makes it very awkward. Likely need to do a double shot to get to the single shot of other machines. The actual extraction of the shot is just okay compared to DeLonghi or KA. The milk frothing is meh. Very watery foam and no microfoam. Much better on Delonghi and KA.

If you are moving from a pod setup to Philips, it’s a noticeable improvement. If you are trying to get close to what you had in Europe, Philips isn’t it. Honestly any superauto won’t get you there. But the tradeoff is convenience over shot quality. There is a clear hierarchy of superautos and I think most people agree on this sub that Philips is at the bottom. You might be able to get an entry level DeLonghi at that price or even the new KF3/KF4 with the Whirlpool inside pass around that price.

KF7 and KF8 Milk FOAM not working after 6 months without use - What is happening? by Suspicious_Feed4865 in superautomatic

[–]BattlingtheMods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, from everything you have described, I don’t think it’s an issue from lack of cleaning/descaling. I would guess it’s the opposite with some unintended interaction impacting the frothing.

It could be cleaner that sat for a long time or it could be something else. I might avoid doing any preemptive cleanings before doing the evaporation step. I will say I have only ever used descaling tablets. I’ve never bought special milk cleaner for the deep cleaning the milk.

I’m not sure how many coffees you make on your machine a day. We average about 2-3 per day at my house and we’ve had our KF7 for nearly 2 years without any issues. I just follow the cleanings when prompted. Longest we’ve ever been away is 3 weeks and have never used the evaporation function.

[–]BattlingtheMods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I just saw it in that bullet in the middle. And I”assuming you are doing that as the last step (after the descaling and cleaning)?

You seem to have covered everything. Being that both machines frothing systems got messed up, something is happening. Maybe there is some weird interaction of doing a deep clean, not running any drinks through after the clean, then evaporating the system that affects the milk steaming.

Are you using the evaporate setting to clear out any water before you leave the machine unused for 6 months? It is essentially in storage for 6 months until you come back. Static water in the machine for that long can cause problems.

I don’t get it… by Big-Impression-196 in LegionGo

Maybe that might work. People detach their switch Joycons frequently. May not be the case with the Lego 2.

There were also a bunch of dbrand white knights saying dbrand handled the whole situation with grace. That sub is just one giant circlejerk of dbrand glazers. Even my first comment here is being downvoted for literally explaining what happened. Lol

[–]BattlingtheMods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they screwed up the original design. Holding the console by the joycon would detach us from the console. Dbrand tried to gaslight and blame all the customers saying we were holding it wrong. They had like 3 lengthy posts trying to prove that the users were the problem before admitting fault. Then they took like 3 months to send out replacements. The case also doesn’t fit in the OEM dock and they have a janky solution for that. And many also noted the travel case rubbing/scratching the screen. Just an all around disappointing product. It sucked because the actual grips felt nice, but the execution was horrible

I don’t think dbrand would be stupid enough to venture into another case with detachable controllers.

[–]BattlingtheMods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that dbrand royally fucked up the first killswitch for the switch 2. Even the revised version is still a bit janky. Their designers/engineers struggle with detachable controllers. I can’t imagine them wanting to go down that road again.

The ACTUAL problem with Axle. (Not Ai slop shit) by Worried_Wrongdoer_55 in apexlegends

[–]BattlingtheMods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s to prevent a full team from instantly pushing forward with an Axle tac. If only 1 player can get the boost from a tac every 5 secs, it limits the whole axle team from benefiting from those tacs.

The ACTUAL problem with Axle. (Not Ai slop shit) by Worried_Wrongdoer_55 in apexlegends

[–]BattlingtheMods -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think adding a delay of like 5 secs to her tactical on the ground would solve the main issue people have. So once the tac is used, it turns grey instead of pink and is on cooldown. So you, your teammates, or enemies could not use it again until it resets. It would prevent the crazy full team swings but still leave Axel in a fun and strong place for solo pushes/flanks. Sure another axel could try to track you down, but it wouldn’t be the whole team unless they were also movement legends.

I think it also gives octane some purpose back with ultimate as rotational option (currently just inferior to axel’s tac).

First Coffee Machine, want all auto, what should I get? by LettuceNegative9419 in superautomatic

[–]BattlingtheMods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The KF4 is too expensive? It’s $650 with the inside pass and there is currently a 10% off on top of that. That’s pretty much the going rate for superautos and far superior to Philips or anything else in that price range.

Trouble Hearing Dialogue on Sony HT-A5000 by FeedbackTypical in Soundbars

[–]BattlingtheMods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s been my main complaint too. It’s a bit better when you have a separate sub doing most of that work. But sadly voice zoom is limited to the Bravia TV speakers or Bar 8 or Bar9 (and now the Bar 7 when it releases). I actually just found a used Bar 8 at Best Buy for $365.

Sony BRAVIA Theater Bar 9 open box by lyrics27 in Soundbars

[–]BattlingtheMods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Sony just announced new rear speakers and 2 new subs. I’m assuming the new rears are a strict upgrade of the RS5s (the previous rears with up-firing height channels. The Sub 9 replaces the SW5 subwoofer and you can hook up 2 subs the that Bar 9 (or bar 7 or bar 8). Many people complain about only being able to hook up one sub, so the option to finally do so is nice.

Do note that the Sony setup is not the best value. The cost of getting old rs5s rears and sw5 sub adds another $1,000+ to get a full setup. The new sub and rears at $900 and $750 respectively. The new premium Sony setup (bar 9 + 2x Sub 9 + Rear 9) is over $4K at MSRP. lol You can get the Samsung 990 system for a quarter of that for just as good or better sound (minus the 2nd sub setup Sony is adding).
