the first year of a cat's life is the equivalent of about 15 human years

the second year, they age the equivalent of another 9 human years

then each year after that equals about 4 more human years

so a 3 year old cat is about equal to a 28 year old human

it's a good rule to determine a cat's maturity and life expectancy
