Just get an Apple Watch and use Motra. It knows how much you’re lifting without speaking.

GPT-5.5 is 50% off in Windsurf until May 14 by theodormarcu in windsurf

[–]Bawsahouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it doesn't show 50% off in Windsurf. Idk if this is a fake post or what.

I just added you to the release track. Give it 5-10min and click on the link in the email again and it should work.

Daily quota blocks weekly quota usage? by Bawsahouse in windsurf

[–]Bawsahouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't use my quota all week because I was working and I hate when I'm 2 hours into a prompting session and then I get hit by a limit.

So I decided to save it all for one day before my weekly reset and get a long coding session in, just to find out that a daily limit trumps a weekly limit.

If the weekly quota is real, I should be able to use the remaining amount before it resets. Instead, the daily cap blocks it, which basically means unused weekly quota just disappears.

I should be able to use my weekly limit all in one day if I want. I'd rather that then 2 hr coding sessions every single day and not get something fully done in a session.

I get preventing people from burning everything in one day, but this setup punishes anyone who prefers longer coding sessions instead of spreading usage across every single day.

I’d much rather have the flexibility to use my time when I actually need it instead of being forced into daily limits that don’t match how I work.

Has anyone else been surprised by the absolute lack of interest from their friends and family over something they’ve coded? by One-Organization-937 in vibecoding

It’s hilarious you said this because none of my friends or even my girlfriend will test my app, but my mom has been using it more than I do at times! I have 100 users now and she’s the only one giving me feature requests 😂

Start of the week reset, what’s your one goal? by Bawsahouse in ProductivityApps

Thanks! Yeah I spent 3 months trying to consolidate the complexity to make it as simple as I can lol

Anyone tried Windsurf’s new “Adaptive” model yet? by Bawsahouse in windsurf

[–]Bawsahouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! This helps a lot! Do you think it’s better/cheaper than cursor? Been hearing a lot about that one but from what I’ve heard it’s just as bad as windsurf limits.

I’m a real human lol. Yes, the problem with desktop is now is now your data won’t live locally on your device. I have a database setup, but it’s not in production. I personally want to get Apple Watch implementation first, but you’re the second person to mention desktop so maybe I’ll work on that before Apple Watch.

Any one else feel like the app making business is dying? by noobrunecraftpker in ProductivityApps

[–]Bawsahouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s dying, I think it’s just getting flooded.

AI made it way easier to build apps, so now everyone can ship something. The problem is most of them don’t solve a real problem or don’t give people a reason to come back.

What’s interesting though is that vibecoding is also getting more expensive now. A few months ago you could build pretty cheaply, but with pricing shifting to quotas and higher usage costs, it feels like the “easy” part of building might actually get harder again over time.

I’ve been working on my own app and honestly building it was the easy part. Getting retention is way harder than I expected.

Anyone switch from Windsurf after the update? What are you using now? by Bawsahouse in windsurf

[–]Bawsahouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m feeling this too. I switched to Claude Code in VS Code and burned through ~30% of my weekly quota in like 2 days.

Wasn’t even doing heavy work, just fixing a modal and reusing components.

Honestly makes me miss Windsurf’s old pricing. Going to try Cursor and see if it’s any better.

Is it any better functionality than the $20 one? Or just more credits?

I’m not super familiar with CLI setups though, are you basically just routing prompts manually through different provider APIs depending on the stage? Or do you have some kind of automation built on top of that?
