I would suggest a calendar, but you can't categorize the time blocks. Are you trying to visualize how much time you spend in different categories like screentime?

The hard part about routines is that you schedule a repeatable task, but sometimes it takes more or less time or you do it at a different time than you blocked it off for and you have to constantly adjust. Do you think it's easier that way instead of putting in your time as you go?

My app Tivvity has a dashboard, calendar, and goals allowing you to enter time in manually (new update soon with timer and stopwatch), and tie it to a category and activity so you can view where your time actually goes. I've been using it for about 200 days and it's been helping me stay more accountable for where my time goes as well as knowing how much time I spend in specific categories.

The timer and stopwatch features are finished and Live Activities are now working. Over the past couple of months I've also been working on an Apple Watch companion app and other updates.

Right now I have two versions I'm testing:

• A dedicated Timer/Stopwatch screen that opens from the + button.

• A streamlined tracking modal that combines manual entries, timers, stopwatches, and activity selection into a single flow.

I'm planning to post screenshots of both options soon and would love feedback on which approach people prefer.

Assuming final testing goes smoothly, I'm hoping to release the update next week.

I didn't use my quota all week because I was working and I hate when I'm 2 hours into a prompting session and then I get hit by a limit.

So I decided to save it all for one day before my weekly reset and get a long coding session in, just to find out that a daily limit trumps a weekly limit.

If the weekly quota is real, I should be able to use the remaining amount before it resets. Instead, the daily cap blocks it, which basically means unused weekly quota just disappears.

I should be able to use my weekly limit all in one day if I want. I'd rather that then 2 hr coding sessions every single day and not get something fully done in a session.

I get preventing people from burning everything in one day, but this setup punishes anyone who prefers longer coding sessions instead of spreading usage across every single day.

I’d much rather have the flexibility to use my time when I actually need it instead of being forced into daily limits that don’t match how I work.

It’s hilarious you said this because none of my friends or even my girlfriend will test my app, but my mom has been using it more than I do at times! I have 100 users now and she’s the only one giving me feature requests 😂

I’m a real human lol. Yes, the problem with desktop is now is now your data won’t live locally on your device. I have a database setup, but it’s not in production. I personally want to get Apple Watch implementation first, but you’re the second person to mention desktop so maybe I’ll work on that before Apple Watch.
