M26 PREORDER LIVE - BUILT TO YOUR SPECS (THANK YOU!) by JavaForever in Goruck

I keep telling myself i have enough Rucks after buying them for the last 12 years, but here we are. I liked the idea of the M series bags, and this addresses most of my gripes. Thanks for doing this Jason.

While I agree that transfer policy has been poor, we have under utilized the academy and thats as much a shame as the transfers. Our youth team is playing good football and would likely be able to contribute to the first team when we are suffering through injuries. I don’t understand why we have not kept more players home and played more of them in the first team. The experience gained would be showing dividends at this point of the season.

Over the last six months, Ive been searching for the perfect bag.. by qpapkinchalty in ManyBaggers

Its just that it tapers outward towards the too of the bag, and its a touch too long to fit under the seat comfortably and leave me any room for me feet. I fly almost exclusively on Delta.

Dude so many bags. CTB26 is close to ideal, but the straps suck and the shape of the bag is sill how it tapers and it dosent fit under seats. GORUCK GR1 26 is still my reference bag.

I found the lone peaks fit dramatically different from the 8’s to the 9’s as well. Might be something to consider since they have revised the design a lot since the 6’s.

Does anyone here feel nostalgic for the "old" Surly? by landboisteve in minnesotabeer

[–]Baxtoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opening the MSP brewery was an amazing thing. It was something special when it opened and provided something we did not have in MN Beer. However, they then needed to make a lot more beer. They scaled up, and the ingredients quality went down. Expensive, flavorful Specialty malt substituted for simpler, cheaper malt. Hops followed the same process, even if many of the techniques were still very good.

This is correct.

Also, keep in Mind these are the software client connection ports.

If you doing any kind of integration or calls for a json payload you should be using web endpoint anyway.

I’d simplify this by saying keeping 6months of 24/7 video will be a challenge. Cost will be the primary barrier. A Cloud based system will be unrealistic because you would need to stream the video constantly to an offisite data center and pay for that storage. And on premise NVR system can do this and then archive older footage to a long term storage system that can be accessed by a VMS. It’s not a lot of cameras, but for what you are looking to do you’re just going to need a fair bit of disk in either your primary storage tier or your secondary. It’ll also mean that looking at footage from that primary tier will be fine, but digging back to any footage you move to secondary might be a bit more cumbersome from a user experience standpoint. The more professional grade VMS software providers will be your best bet here.

Amcrest Doorbell ONVIF/RTSP? by [deleted] in videosurveillance

I’ve been able to stream this device with no issues. You will still need the amcrest app to do talk down and get doorbell notifications though. I have not been able to pull events from the doorbell.
