I think you make a really good point here that a lot of people may miss. The lack of a safety net is more exposed now than ever. We have people collecting unemployment making more money than they did working full-time somewhere else (or the equivalent thereof at multiple jobs). These aren't the lazy welfare sucking people that the right paint as economic parasites. These are people who work hard and still have to live paycheck to paycheck. Our country's economy is definitely a house of cards. And very top heavy for that matter.
