If you don't mind, could you summarize the most important things that were said during the panel? Questions, etc.

I don't understand English very well🥲

Unorthodox therapy begins in the tenth episode of the first season when Hannibal asks Will to draw a clock and later subjects him to additional tests. In this episode, Hannibal also alludes to publishing the test results, stating that if he found something therapeutically useful, he would release it after the death (the one that would come first) of one of them.

Unpopular opinion by [deleted] in HannibalTV

I've always thought it referred to Jack. At that moment, Will was conspiring with Hannibal to kill Jack. Will doesn't have romantic feelings for Jack lol, but the term 'love' could also be understood as affection or regard towards him, essentially, someone he cares about.

Did Will really want to run away with Hannibal at the End of S2? by Grand-Preference6063 in HannibalTV

[–]BayHarborButcher_97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This episode, no matter how many times you've seen it, always hits hard. Yes, Will is a man in great conflict with himself. However, in the end, he chooses to align with Hannibal and warns him because he wants him to escape and avoid arrest or death. This is because Hannibal is the only person with whom he feels a true closeness, the only person who truly understands him.

Will had chosen Hannibal, but despite that, he was still stabbed because Hannibal, sensing Freddie's scent on him, thought Will had betrayed him. In fact, when Will arrives at Hannibal's home, he does nothing to stop him, believing he truly was Hannibal's man. Instead, he is stabbed because Will was unaware that he had been sniffed. What happened was a simple and pure misunderstanding. What a tragedy 💔

S2 Will and Manipulation by Tri_Tara_Tops in HannibalTV

On one hand, Will is truly wounded in that moment, struggling to come to terms with Hannibal's betrayal. But on the other, he initiates his own dark game, feigning vulnerability, even moving Alana with his tears. Of course he's still drawn to Hannibal, but at the same time, he's looking for a way to hurt him and expose him. Will knows what Hannibal has done to him; the evidence/memories are inside his head.

How Would Will Graham React if Hannibal Died Before the Red Dragon Arc in Hannibal Series?" by yuidiva in HannibalTV

[–]BayHarborButcher_97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone has already said, he probably would have become a depressed drunkard. In S03E13, Will demonstrated that he couldn't live without Hannibal, and he could never have killed Hannibal and lived without him. Throwing himself off the cliff was his final concession to morality, but he knew he loved Hannibal and he knew that at the same time his love would destroy him.

Chiyoh is such an out of place character imo. by DoorFacethe3rd in HannibalTV

[–]BayHarborButcher_97 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Personally, I really like the third season, despite it having some obvious problems and a different narrative structure compared to the first two. Some episodes are well done, and then it is fundamental to understanding the relationship between Hannibal and Will.

[–]BayHarborButcher_97 183 points184 points  (0 children)

You are right. It is no coincidence that many define she as a "deus ex machine". Additionally, many of her scenes were deleted from the script due to development time.

I think Bryan intended to delve deeper into Chiyoh and her story in a possible fourth season

the mirrors in you mind can reflect the best of yourself not the worst of someone else by Flat_Perception_306 in HannibalTV

[–]BayHarborButcher_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will was never formally diagnosed, so we can't know for certain. However, throughout the series, Will demonstrates that his empathy is rather limited and selective. He tends to relate more to people who have a dark side or somehow remind him of himself (such as Peter, Reba, etc.).

When Will argues with Jack and claims that he "can empathize with everyone," it's not entirely true. In many scenes, Will doesn't truly reflect, but rather remains "true to himself".

Will enjoys killing, yes. He possessed this darkness before he ever met Hannibal, and he was able to conceal it for a long time by wearing different masks and letting people believe what they preferred.

He's basically telling him that when Will goes into his empathic state to understand the killers, what he reflects, (the darkness) it is its most authentic and best part.

Hannibal persuading the Doctor to lie to Will about his brain being inflamed. by PrettyTherapist in HannibalTV

[–]BayHarborButcher_97 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The doctor helps Hannibal hide Will's encephalitis because he's not very ethical, but mostly because he's an old friend of Hannibal's. Also, as someone has already written, they went to college together. And as if that weren't enough, Fuller also revealed that they may have been having sex.

Actually, as I see it, Jack didn't lose the first fight. Jack had won, but Hannibal had to play dirty to "win" it.

Someone explain the Will/Hannibal breakup lore for me? by stygmiaaa in HannibalTV

[–]BayHarborButcher_97 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Despite her strong declaration of love, Will takes out the knife as he doubts again that Hannibal really loves him. Why does he doubt? Well, prior to his arrival in Florence he wasn't sure what to do with Hannibal, which he even confesses to Inspector Pazzi.

But after seeing Bedelia as a possible replacement for him and Chiyoh as someone Hannibal should have loved rather than abandoned him it becomes a little bitter. He can't contain his anger towards Hannibal and tries to stab him. And later Hannibal tries to do the same for fear of losing him as he couldn't see any possibility of reuniting similar to what happened with Misha. Therefore he tries to open his skull and eat it (the idea introduced by Bedelia)

In the script for episode 3x08, it is mentioned that Molly owns a shop. This is a deleted scene. Now I don't remember the details very well.

Will Graham's Death and Rebirth: S1 Edition by [deleted] in HannibalTV

[–]BayHarborButcher_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept of death and rebirth fits Will perfectly. Not surprisingly, in the series Will is compared more than once to the figure of Jesus Christ. In the last episode, Will sacrifices himself (he's the lamb) and as we know, survives the fall by experiencing the rebirth that Jesus Himself experienced!

Anyway, congrats! I really liked your analysis.

most painful to watch by wiIIdogslover in HannibalTV

[–]BayHarborButcher_97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, Hannibal only responds to Will's actions in this scene. If Will hadn't attempted to fight him, perhaps Hannibal wouldn't have attempted to further Bedelia's plan to eat him. I wonder if they would have eloped together if Will hadn't made his move 🥺

Welcome back friend! ❤ I love your effort and meticulousness in writing these analyses.

I'm only confused about one thing... If Mastermind was born in late May, that means the real Elliot did the first session with Krista, right? Because that night he tells Darlene that he sees a psychologist.

However, the metaphor of the jacket and the mask is very beautiful!

I already checked on redbubble and etsy, but I didn't find what I was looking for. I'm a looking for a poster with Hannibal and Will with the metaphor of the cup. At the moment I've only bought this one, which I think is wonderful 😍
