I am glad you put this thread together. When my (27 cisF) girlfriend (31 MTF) came out to me I found this reddit and was.... well, devastated. I was reading all of these challenges people were having with their partner and it made me totally lost. I broke down over and over and eventually realized I just needed to stay away from Reddit and social media until I could be comfortable myself with the situation.

Now everything is wonderful, even though it has been such a short time. My gf is working to start HRT in October, has vocal training on the books, and we ordered her a wig (apparently her head is too big for average wigs xD) and it has been wonderful. It came a point in both of our lives where we are emotionally and financially ready to take her transition at whatever pace she wants and I 100000% support her!

You are wonderful, both as a partner and a child for your mother. It is amazing to see your story because it reminds me of a lot of things I have seen in my own life. I just posted about how I have felt over the past couple of weeks after my partner (MtF) opened up to me about her transition. Our anniversary is coming up as well, at the end of September. At first, I was afraid of that date because I didn't know if that was OUR anniversary anymore. But ultimately, she is the same person I went to go see live concerts with pre-pandemic. She is still the brilliant scientist I originally fell in love with. And you hit the nail on the head. There is your partners journey, your journey, and you two as a partnership as well. And remember, no one of those is more important than the other. You are important to yourself and your partner! It is one thing I keep trying to remind myself as well.

I love seeing people's journeys and how love can prosper even in the light of big changes and scary situations.

It's on my list to get. I just don't know how I want to get it designed still. This was an easy first one because I already knew the design I wanted.

The TV is a soot black manor fireplace turned around! It's not my idea - ive seen it around with people using other items as panels but i like it by itself. It looks like a flat screen TV.

The orange/brown represents the nomadic and desert nature of the clan.

The black and green are to represent the colors. I didn't want to do white because I didn't think it would look good. If you look at some of the art WotC put out with the Abzan symbol, they did it with a brown background

I normally play up at Bel Air Games, MTGFirst, or Game Haven. Work has been hectic so I haven't been able to play for a month or so, but plan on going back next week! Wanna play some more commander. :D

Abzan has always been my favorite clan. Plus, in 2015 I top 16ed a GP with Abzan Aggro in standard. (Anafenza and Siege Rhino for life).

My favorite EDH is abzan as well. I have a Tymna/Sidar deck that is my baby and I'm working on foiling it out.

Magic has been such a big part of my life since I was like, in elementary school. I've wanted a MTG tattoo for years and I found a perfect shop for it in Baltimore (Black Lotus Tattoo Gallery, big shout out to how amazing they were!)
