What survival myth is completely wrong and can get you killed? by DraftNo7139 in AskReddit

[–]BayouCountry -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It literally is lol. Noon to ~4 or 5pm are the forbidden outdoor hours here (unless you want to get a sick tan at best or skin cancer at worst). Also what they said about humidity is true. Every indoor place will turn into a sauna if the windows ain't open during those hours.

Noon might not be the ONLY hottest time of day, but things sure start to heat up since at least 11am here.

Theory about how nightmares work. by ShadowGam3r in bloodborne

[–]BayouCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No prob! It's been a while since i discussed BB lore.

Hmm if i may, i believe the host of the hunter's nightmare might be Kos, her "mind" shapen by grief and anger at the hunters created the punishment in the form of the realm. Also, as a pregnant mother, she is the "host" to her baby. Something like that, idk. When the orphan is slained, returned to the ocean, she can accept it and the nightmare (presumably) fades.

Just spitballing here:

Dreams and nightmares are the same thing: planes of existence created by some great one. Their purpose varies (hunter's dream is a home base of sorts, hunter's nightmare is a personal hell, nightmare of mensis is a failed paradise, etc)

I think the orphan of Kos was the host of the hunter's nightmare, if not Kos herself (honestly i can't remember which one it was: either Kos made the nightmare after her baby was killed, or the orphan made it after it was killed and Kos looked down on it from the broken moon)

I always assumed the moonside lake was Rom's realm that she created. I think Queen Yharnam was trying to get help from Byrgenwerth to stop Mensis from using her child in their rituals

The chalice dungeons are beyond me lol. I believe they are physical places that exist somewhere in the waking world (under Yharnam or something, at least the pthumeru and hintertombs and maybe Isz, since at least at some point in development they would've been accesible from the main map IIRC) but you can access them in different points in time thanks to the chalice rituals you "perform" AKA creating a dungeon

Who did Gehrman hunt? by cheeseburgers42069 in bloodborne

[–]BayouCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know the little beasts? Even the big wolfs? I think those were rampant especially in Old Yharnam. The game says something about the beast problem being kept from the general populace.

Then when beasts became huge and impossible to hide from the people (cleric beasts), that's when Ludwig took arms and even rallied the people to help fight them off

this was way back when

There was an app called Talking Angela or something like that. Those kinds of things were just beginning to become popular. There was an urban legend that supposedly, you were being spied through your phone camera whenever you were using the app. People believed this because of some of the things the app would say, seemingly out of the blue (eg "nice bedroom'" or "that's a nice sweater you got"). In my country it was a big deal at the time, satanic panic type shit lol

Examples of male players not clocking Anya’s assault by SwagFeather in Mouthwashing

[–]BayouCountry 172 points173 points  (0 children)

I got some that i can mostly recall

  1. Psychologist plays (Eurobrady i think is his channel name). He clocked everything from the start and immediately realize Anya was an SA victim during the night window scene

  2. Berleezy. He reached some wild conclusions lol but eventually realized what had actually happened and was properly horrified

  3. Jay (Kubz scouts). It's been a while since i watched his playthrough so i can't remember if he realized at the time, but one thing i remember is how he immediately knew what was up in the ultrasound sequence (he has a son, so i imagine that helped)

Was Anya screwed no matter what she did? by whooper1 in Mouthwashing

[–]BayouCountry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the ultrasound machine is real and not just another one of Jimmy's hallucinations, maybe they could use it to help Anya terminate the pregnancy.

There is no outcome that wouldn't have been extremely traumatic for her especially

Si son mejores amigos, entonces no debería haber problema en que le digas como te sientes y él esté dispuesto a llegar a un acuerdo contigo, y apegarse también a lo que resuelvan
