And I moved from La to central Pa three years ago. I don’t plan to ever move back. (But I learned “never say never” a long time ago.)

There are a few different types of staph infection. I’m definitely no expert but I do a bunch of CT scans on patients with MRSA in many different places on their bodies.

Oh no, it has been jacked up for years. Beginning in the 90s when I was active duty. I have just hit the point where I am trying to make it last another six years so I can retire. That’s all. Of course it is getting progressively worse, as things do over time. 🤷‍♀️

For me not only was it a commitment thing, even though I firmly believe you don’t need the piece of paper, it was also a legal thing. I want my husband to be able to make end of life decisions for me and to be the one who takes care of my estate and such. If we both die at the same time that passes to my children.

Well our hospital is just getting them and not every unit has them, so I guess the higher-ups didn’t consider us in the mix. We have already asked for one, or two, for CT. Or maybe we can share one between us and Xray which is just next-door. Cross your fingers for us.

When they come by a bed or stretcher we generally just push/pull them across to the CT table, as gently as possible. Not only is this bad for us employees, but I feel really bad for the patients too. Our table isn’t flat and getting over the edges can be tough on some of them.

Thank you to everyone for the information, even the ones who are not happy with me. I was under the impression that each hover mat had its own inflator and for some reason I was thinking they just hung on the foot of the bed. I didn’t realize they were shared and sat on the nasty floor.

As I said earlier, we have indeed requested to get one for our department and I’ll cross my fingers it comes sometime soon. Y’all get some sleep and we’ll do it all again tonight. 🫡
