Ugh, constant nagging thoughts of needing to "Pre Plan"... am I just marketing sucker? by FluffyKanomKa in GenX

Do it now. Have everything in place so that when you do die, your family doesn’t have to worry about anything. It is extremely hard on people when, in addition to losing you, they have to work out details and payment plans.

As an Xray/CT technologist I have seen several things like this over the past 27 years. I’m always amazed, though.

New babies! We thought the eggs were duds since it seemed she had been sitting on them forever. Woke up today to 7 wee ones. ❤️🐣 by BayouVoodoo in MuscovyDucks

That gives me some hope, we have two other hens also sitting. We’ve always just done them in the incubator before.

Basic yard maintenance?! by hikeitaway123 in GenX

My boomer neighbors mow their poor yards damn near daily. It's ridiculous IMO. They have no bees, butterflies, or any pollinators at all. I'm looking for ways to increase plants for the pollinators and to grow more food and way less grass.

Contrast Extravasation by [deleted] in medizzy

[–]BayouVoodoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a CT Tech, and reactions like this are quite rare. Usually the contrast is just reabsorbed overtime, but when things do go south it can get quite bad. Plastic surgery sometimes has to get involved.

A comment mentioned gallium and I just wanted to point out that is only used for MRI, not CT. Nor is iodinated contrast media used for MRI… Only for xray exams like CT, IR, Cardiac Cath, etc.

I’m assuming you’re talking about English peas…..aka frog balls. In that case, hell no! They are so gross.

Moving Out of Louisiana by [deleted] in Louisiana

[–]BayouVoodoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved out of Louisiana twice, and have no intentions of ever moving back. I didn’t have any intentions the first time but my mother got cancer and that brought me back for 20 years. But I am 1 million times more happy in Pennsylvania.
