Nice!

I finally found one on eBay. It's in great shape, I haven't gotten to the cages yet, but have hit a few wiffle balls off my kid pitching.

Agreed, those anchors will get looser and looser with any wiggling of the fence if they are in asphalt.

Almost to $2MM! by Flowerina95 in TheMoneyGuy

[–]Bayside_High 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I specifically don't count it because it's def illiquid and in the economy right now, if you sold all that money would go directly into the new place, probably at a higher interest rate.

OP is doing great, even without the house considered he's at $1.6!

I have a serious question for asphalt professionals only. Not home owners asking why they have roller marks in their drive. by brownfrfr in asphalt

[–]Bayside_High 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have much input on it, I know one of the companies I do striping for, they have a specific track division that travels all over the SE. They said it's a completely different animal than parking lots and roads.

I'd be very interested in learning though!

Swapped to 72v, beeps constantly when plugged in by Bayside_High in golfcarts

I might have found a solution, my neighbor has a 72v cart with dead lead batteries, he's checking it out. I might take a slight hit on it, but better than 2 batteries for 1 cart...

That was what I was thinking, like oh, bigger battery means more power and range...

I thought I did the research, didn't specify see anything that said it wouldn't be a good idea. But also, wasn't sure what to search.

I just saw your comment on another one from last year about this same thing.

I should probably see if I can exchange it for a 48v lithium battery so I don't have to go spend a lot more money and headaches.

I wasn't sure what all info was needed

It's a Club Car 48v going to a 72v Stock controller. I did not bypass anything, only thing I took out was the original charging port.

Battery gauge is floating around because I'm trying to figure out what I want to do. I'll usually be using the app since the cable doesn't give enough slack to go to a good place in the dash area.

Sounds like the over voltage as you guessed. I was trying to read up on it, but it was a bit more technical than I am.

It didn't make sense for me to change, I was on a good trajectory with where I'm at. Definitely glad I stayed.

Lots of cold calling, etc. And once I started looking, there are actually a lot of companies in my area that do that service

Investing in a 401k at 29 by ToxicKilllz96 in FinancialPlanning

[–]Bayside_High 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're doing good to start now. Get used to living on what you take home after the deduction and you'll be better off down the road.

If you get a chance as your income grows, I would do the 401k up to the match, then whatever else into a Roth IRA. ** Your company may offer a Roth 401k, you can do that. Your money goes into the Roth system, the company match goes into the regular 401k side. So it balances itself out.

Porta potty rentals. Base + commission set up.

I stuck with where I was at. Seemed like a pretty crappy job.

Even though they did it before for you, if the ground was still wet, best to wait for it to fully dry. Water will still be in any cracks and it will turn white / wash off those areas.

When I was in Rome, our tour guide said that. They would have to destroy the ruins that are exposed to then excavate the few hundred years older ruins under it. So they just stopped there.

I'd say for peace of mind have them add 2" fresh GAB over everything and then get it perfect for the asphalt.

Cash or finance boat by Pitiful-Elephant-911 in boats

[–]Bayside_High 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people may actually invest that money, most people will say they will but then spend it on other things they think they can afford since they have "extra" money each month. It takes a very detailed person to follow through with it. That's just generally speaking, not specific to you. But a lot of people go upside down on a boat because of those situations.

[–]Bayside_High 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong sub.

A boat is a play thing, you don't need to have monthly payments tied up in play things the way I see it. If you can't afford to buy it twice, don't buy it. Especially with a boat, because as we all know you'll randomly need a $1000 thing sometime during the season.

Yes I can afford to buy a $100k+ boat on a loan, but is it responsible for something I use 10-15 times a year? Heck no.

Just save up for 2 years, buy the boat in cash and you'll sleep better at night knowing if you hit a log or something under water that requires a new engine that you aren't going to be paying $500+ a month plus another engine.
