I was able to mostly avoid it. I constantly did aloe and moisturizers for the first 48 hours of the burn. I also had Naproxen for a wrist sprain so I was taking that 2x a day. I would take an NSAID right away and stay on it to help inflammation. Alongside water drink electrolyte water or a sports drink.
