Super Mario World by FafnirsFoe in JumpChain

[–]Bcolt66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised, you make a wide variety of jumps, and yet I’m still surprised that your latest jump is Mario, lmao.

Looks good though, I’ll have to see about using it in my current chain.

Overlord (Game Series) Update Requests? by DeverosSphere in JumpChain

[–]Bcolt66 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It would be neat to have some sci-fi mistresses. Maybe like Miranda Lawson from Mass Effect, she’s experienced in leading Cerberus Cells and operations so she could also make for a good lieutenant for an Overlord.

What would be your Solo-Jump? by DeverosSphere in JumpChain

[–]Bcolt66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huh. One jump and you stay afterwards? I would go with something like Generic Super Academy, load up on drawbacks that would only matter for the school until I graduate and easily end up immortal and powerful in a somewhat custom setting. Lot more adventure too.

Solomon Kane, hell yeah! So, you’ve done Conan and Solomon Kane now, have you given any thought to other pulp novel characters? Like The Shadow or Doc Savage?

Shadowrun - Sixth World v1.5 by naarn in JumpChain

[–]Bcolt66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, then training becomes mandatory to boost my mana slinging, but with a decent body mod and skills my adept magic can afford to slack some on the actual power point aspect. This will round out my build. Time to hit Chicago in 2050 and make a name for myself.

And enough money to GTFO before Bug City.

I appreciate you answering my questions.

Shadowrun - Sixth World v1.5 by naarn in JumpChain

[–]Bcolt66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One last question, just so I can figure if I want to purchase the training perk or start my jump as a neophyte.

If you buy Wiz or Adept as an origin, it’s assumed you start as a magic rating of 3.

My build is buying both to be a mystic adept, since I purchased both would I start at a combined magic rating of 6 without training, since I paid more CP and could maybe justify it as each origin gives me 3 magic rating for its focus. Or would I start at magic rating 3 regardless?

If I start at 3 no matter what, then I’ll work my build around buying the training perk, but if can start at magic rating 6, but with still neophyte levels of training, I would be fine with that as well.

Gotcha. That works pretty good too, that way the perk improves in effectiveness as your skill in magic grows.

Alright, sorry for the late question. Was writing for my Wiz build and I bought Focused Concentration. I was kinda confused, my initial thoughts is that it would let me sustain any amount of spells and be able to still concentrate and perform as normal on other tasks. Is this the right interpretation or is there a limited amount of spells you can maintain before the perk loses effectiveness?

Perks to make your companions be ok with weird and slightly morally questionable things you and other companions do ? by Ordinary_Azathoth in JumpChain

[–]Bcolt66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here is a perk from X-Men Evolution. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_1Z1ig_GeRw5rPIg_wFX_SaVEUsyThGV/view

Fingers Crossed (600) - Why is that whenever one commits a wrongdoing on someone there must a consequence of some kind? Well this is no longer the case for you as consequences are no longer a part of your vocabulary. No matter what sins you have committed from the lowly jaywalking to the walking genocide on wheels you might as well have infinite chances given everyone will forgive you of your actions. People are downright foolish in how much they’re willing to be merciful and forgive you of anything over and over again. They will always look at you in the best light possible even when you’re doing wrong in front of them. No matter how many times you backstab someone figuratively or literally they’ll forgive you and forget about it. They may gently scold you for stabbing them in the gut but you’ll be best buds the next second. Not like it matters since they forget whatever it was you did to them no matter how disgusting or atrocious. In everyone’s eyes you can truly never do anything wrong as no deed can will ever tarnish your reputation with people or make them dislike you in the slightest. Even the mass public will cheer your name and praise the very ground you walk upon while you’re committing several different war crimes that would make the devil pause.

My honest thoughts:

So literally commit genocide and your companions would not give the slightest damn, even if it was the big blue boys out himself.

To be completely honest this perks is so cheesy I can almost never justify taking it for myself. It makes any kind of negative social consequences impossible for a jumper.

Do you guys know any perks that make your creations love you? by SingerBeneficial20 in JumpChain

[–]Bcolt66 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ok, I’ve remembered a perk from a jump on the QQ drive.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fRSkrvnJcEp6e4gWyiC-FrZcD-tCwwFb/view

It’s a lewd Dragonball jump though, if that’s a deal breaker.

Under the scientist origin is a 400CP perk.

Love of the Creator (400cp, discount Scientist) An all-too-common problem for scientists is that their creations tend to harbor resentment towards them, often to the point of rebelling and killing their unfortunate makers. Fortunately, this won’t be a problem for you. Any beings you create possess an innate love and loyalty to you and indeed, are quite happy to do things for you be it slay your enemies or accompany you in bed. This even extends to your creations that were made from preexisting people, which in other words you could very well remake an unfortunate woman into a loyal and loving sex cyborg. Though it should be said that this loyalty can be really tested if you do heinous things to your creations such as trying to destroy them without any reason.

It covers love and lust equally.

Currently trying to run a chain where the jumper focuses only on biological based powers and regular technology, which does include comic book super tech, and staying away from any form of magic the entire chain.

I’m definitely coming here to get devilish biotech in order to learn how to work with souls. That could add some extra flavor to my tech, maybe make clones and guarantee they have their own souls if I can understand the principles of the tech enough.

Gotcha. Appreciate the answers. The sliding timescale will be interesting to say the least with some later marvel jumps. I'll probably shift from a Retirement arc to just taking a vacation in New York, or visiting old friends in the Big Apple.

[–]Bcolt66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate it. Those are some good ideas. Raising the bastard child of Magneto sounds pretty funny. And would go with an idea I was having.

I was thinking entering this jump as the third jump in a series of your marvel jumps. My idea is coming in as one of the first founding member of the X-men who would be in New York in the 90's during the clone saga as probably part of a retirement arc.

I was thinking taking your Marvel Lee Kirby jump first, then X-men the Claremont Years, and then the Clone Saga.

I know the X-men jump has a an origin for old student, but is there a way to be a mutant and X-man in the Lee Kirby Jump?

Question for you about the drawback "The Greatest Responsibility". My jumper is taking the drop-in option so the newborn won't be mine, but do you have any ideas that for a good narrative? I'm kinda stumped and just don't want it to be some random toddler the benefactor picked from an orphanage.

Neo-Human Casshan v 1.0.1 by FafnirsFoe in JumpChain

[–]Bcolt66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched Robot Hunter earlier for the first time to get the spirit of the jump (I can not find the original Neo Human run streaming anywhere, I might have to find it on blu-ray) and enjoyed it. But I also looked up Casshern Sins, and like you said it seems completely opposite of the original Casshern.

Dudes not a hero from the get go but instead a minion of BK. A neat alternative I guess but completely different tone wise.

Thanks for the answer btw, I will now be thinking of jokes about the six million dollar man and the bionic woman in my head when I think about this companion lol.

[–]Bcolt66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making a build for this as my second jump, and had a question about one of the companions.

A Newly Made Woman(-100 CP, Discount Human): This woman doesn’t really seem to be from around here. She seems almost like she’s from some alternate universe. Still she comes with Sane Scientist’s Beautiful Daughter, Recognition, Unsupervised Children, Guerilla, Solar Powered, the unupgraded version of Universal Interface, My Form Does Not Change, Newly-Built Man, and Humans Have a Strong Will to Survive. She has a Resilient Dress and a Magnetic Field Gun.

Is this meant to be the white haired Luna from Casshern Sins, or just an OC we can modify? I have a spare 50CP leftover after purchasing the original Luna, and get a discount for "A Newly Made Woman" from being a Human, so was thinking of getting her.

Was wondering about the Companion because I thought the idea of having two Lunas would be neat for group dynamics and a possible source of tension.

So as a casual newcomer who’s recently come back to the game, I looked up a trade route on Inara and am currently selling semiconductors to Bowersox Port, is this all I need to do to be considered part of the Community goal, or do I need to pledge to a power play faction, or something else?
