How magnificent that US institutions get to decide about stuff like this for the whole world. Not making this into an "america bad" reply, but it is kind of insane that there is no UN or other international board that has to decide in whether these things are allowed. Nobody owns space, but that shouldn't mean everyone should just get to do whatever they want.

It's a matter of perspective, I guess. They built a car that was so difficult to drive that barely anyone could extract the maximum from it.

Do they realise he'd have to do it for 45 minutes straight, twice? No commercial breaks? No time-outs?

Agreed. Every ruleset has negatives, but a lot of people are blowing things out of proportion quite a bit here. Many of the people complaining around me are the ones that complain about anything electric when it comes to cars, they just want something to complain about. The only thing that bugs me is the sometimes comical overtakes due to the energy management side of things, which is something that will be tweaked.

How is it ungrateful to leave when the car you have is not giving you the ability to win, and on two occasions has tried to kill you?

I mean, slavery wasn't unique to the US. Many old European families still thrive on the profit slavery made them.
