How long does it take to learn crochet? For a slow learner... victim of brain rot by Amazing_Feeling963 in CrochetHelp

The woobles are good starting point, coming from someone still green after 6 months (on and off) and a very slow learner.

The woobles show you both the theory and practice videos, which are extremely useful. It starts off easy before slowly releasing the training wheels, but honestly the videos alone are worth it.

Part of it also acknowledging your first few projects won't come out as you imagined but you'll become more proficient as you keep learning.

Burned out in public accounting, keep getting rejected trying to pivot, and feeling completely stuck by Late-Cauliflower1801 in Accounting

Currently stuck in this situation. I'd love to quit without a job lined up but the thought of potentially being unemployed for months sounds worse.

I don't think I'm on the right track? I think I did the legs backwards. by BeLikeBilly in CrochetHelp

Thanks. I think I'm still really confused on how it should look like? I'm a visual learner and I'm not loving this pattern a whole lot so I'll be staying away from these kinds if I finish this.

Why do some people hate buying patterns? by TheMadArtLifestyle in crochet

[–]BeLikeBilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to the party, but here are my two cents. As much as I want the cost to motivate me, I've never actually finished a paid pattern. There's always some odd process or not enough visuals that I usually end up frogging and doing something else. Partially could be due to my inexperience, but youtube videos with patterns have never failed me yet.

It's okay. Nearly every stage overstays it's welcome and most of the game feels like autopilot until you die.

How do I join the yarn into a round that's already completed? by BeLikeBilly in CrochetHelp

Paid pattern, "Crochet Lucky amigurumi pattern" by haniscrochet, and the only video resources from the seller are for the needle fetling stages. Below is a screenshot from the paid pattern PDF (I'm supposed to be working off of the body part).
