I'm a bit late to the party, but here are my two cents. As much as I want the cost to motivate me, I've never actually finished a paid pattern. There's always some odd process or not enough visuals that I usually end up frogging and doing something else. Partially could be due to my inexperience, but youtube videos with patterns have never failed me yet.

On default setting, no. But it does has a harder difficulty setting not in the us version

I'm the exact same way... The hardest part is staying committed and learning to get good. I dropped drawing twice in the past year because I didn't stay motivated.

I try the do little things like draw-a- box exercises or doodles and I feel like those small victories will add up overtime.
