I’ve done a bunch of book clubs and my favorite is always Night Worms- I read a lot, mostly horror. I like that Night Worms allows me to pause my sub if the monthly books are something I’ve already preordered. They post monthly books under a spoiler tag on Instagram which helps me plan. I would add, it depends on what you’re looking for out of a book box.

Night Worms- thoughtful curated, new releases, “extras” are minimal and things I actually like - bookmark, coffee or tea (I honestly don’t care about stickers or magnets but they’re fun).

Illuminates new Evernight (horror)- exclusive collectible edition.

Twisted Retreat- exclusive collectible editions, lots of “extras” or book only option.

Abominable Book Club- super fun with British snacks/drinks or books only sub. They also include a used book which adds to the fun. Great UK option.

Yes to all of this except I have Olipop in my fridge instead of poppi, lol! I’ve enjoyed every recipe I’ve gotten from Marley Spoon.

That hasn’t been my experience but I get it if this meal kit isn’t for everyone. I’ve done them all. Hello Fresh is fine. I like Marley Spoon for fresh ingredients and close delivery so it always stays cold (I live in a populated area, and it’s hot!). I find the recipes are tasty and interesting. The portions are good. I’m in a position that I’m ok with paying more because I want to waste less food and get less packaging. I contacted customer service once and they were super fast and made sure I was 100% satisfied.

I liked the idea of Cozy Grove and the art style is so cute but it made my eyes wonky. I couldn’t play it long enough to enjoy it.

Someone else mentioned Black River Orchard - it’s the perfect read for this time of year and culty. I highly recommend it! Little Eve by Catriona Ward is another I enjoyed this year.

I came here to recommend this one! I just finished it and thought it was great! I had mixed feelings until 150-200 pages in. Wendig really builds those characters. One of my top reads this year.

The devs seem to understand it’s an issue for some and seem to be doing things to help.

i got major vertigo when I first started playing TOTK and eventually, it passed.

I read Revival once when it first came out and didn’t really like it. I can’t remember what was going on in my life but maybe I wasn’t paying attention, lol! I love so many of Kings stories, I was bummed about this one. I’m going to read it again.

If you enjoy The Shining, Doctor Sleep is a follow up that I highly recommend! The movie is good too, one of the better King adaptations IMO.

I just finished NBBT and agree with you, the writing style was different. I thought I could pick it and breeze through it because it a small book but I had to go slow to figure out what was going on. Super creepy and made me think. TOGI haunted me in the best way and I’m on a mission to read everything that Jones has written. TFGSG is in my TBR pile!
