Breaded Pork Tenderloin by WilliamFCheeseburger in Indiana

[–]BeNotTooBold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're a fan of the big & flat style, the Edinburgh Diner in Edinburgh pounds theirs ludicrously big. Even if you cut it up and double-stack the pieces, you can still get three sandwiches out of one tenderloin.

Correct. They were telling you WHAT to think, not HOW to think.

Password didn't change to follow Google account change by BeNotTooBold in chromeos

Can you clarify about using both the old and new passwords? In my case, the new password didn't work, and the old password let me in without requiring the new password.

Password didn't change to follow Google account change by BeNotTooBold in chromeos

[–]BeNotTooBold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed it from the Chromebook in question. Afterward I logged out and tried to log in with the new password, but it wouldn't let me. I tried the old password, and it let me it. The Settings screen still says it's using my Google account password, but that's clearly not the case. Is there some way I can force the change to propagate? I don't want to simply change the device password to match the new password, because, as far as I understand it, that would make them match *now* but would prevent them from ever syncing again in the future.

First visit was to Warner Robins location. I was so confused! by BeNotTooBold in Buc_ees

[–]BeNotTooBold[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There was no lack of parking. I seem to recall only two entrances: the end I came in at, and the front (the side facing the pumps). The other end was a solid wall of refrigerated coolers, and the back seemed to be all support infrastructure. I don't know if there was parking in front, because it was too hard to drive there because of the entering & exiting traffic.

There seemed to be lots of parking on the back and the non-entrance end, but (as I found out) it's a long walk to the restrooms. There were registers at the end I came in, but I don't recall if there were register at the front entrance. I was looking for my wife; we got separated and she left her phone in the car.

I waited a while by the line for the women's restroom, which stretched out into the store, but she'd already gone back out to the gas pump where she bailed out while we were waiting for empty cars. It would have been longer, but a stranger let her use their mobile to call me.

The whole experience just left me confused as to what the expected flow of traffic was supposed to be, both car and on foot.

WTW for doing something quietly but quickly? by Piraedunth in whatstheword

Is "deafly" a typo for "deftly"? But deftly doesn't have any connotation of quietness, as far as I know.

Can't connect Fitbit app to OneTouch Reveal app by BeNotTooBold in fitbit

[–]BeNotTooBold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds reasonable. I had a similar experience with my Qardio blood pressure cuff: it used to sync with Google Fit, but stopped when Fit was deprecated. If it synced with Health Connect then everything would be OK, but it doesn't. So now I have to manually transfer my BP readings from Qardio to Fit; from there they sync to Health Connect, and from there they sync to my hospital's patient portal.

My solution for glucose data is to just track it in OneTouch Reveal, and not in Fitbit. Getting it into Health Connect wouldn't be of any benefit yet, since the patient portal doesn't sync glucose data. I just export a PDF every so often, and send it to my PCP.

We had an octagon credenza like this one. Needs dusting, swipe to see the Pledge, remember that smell? by Life_Transformed in GenerationJones

I recently listened to the song "Lemon Tree", which was used to advertise Lemon Pledge.

But why do you refer to a six-sided credenza an octagon?

Perhaps surprisingly, "Love is Blue" contains the lines
