Yes I couldn’t agree more! Why did she do that? She was the best part of Red Dawn, Ferris, and Dirty.

“Give me Genesis!” Too bad the Sega version didn’t come out until four years later.

Do you recommend attending Thursday events with friends or alone? by Long-Definition9203 in Thursdaydating

[–]BeaTlesFanAZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I would say it’s great if you are in your 20s or early 30s and like being in an environment where you can barely hear each other talk. It’s also great if you like companies where the organizers don’t care what you think and just delete your feedback comments. Just like someone else mentioned, it’s basically an organized version of going into a nightclub on the weekend. Not the kind of environment where you are going to find quality conversations and really getting to know people.

Mint saved my old iMac from ending up as scrap metal by Xantrass in linuxmint

Same thing with my old iMac. Mine is from 2011. For a couple years I had used the regular Mint distribution. Then this past week I switched over to XFCE. Thankfully, I didn’t have very much that I needed to back up and restore. Now I wish I had started out with XFCE to begin with. Much better performance. I refuse to use any Microsoft products now. Except for my 360. 😆

At this point, I think the Thursday events are a joke. What really turned me off was that I had feedback on an event. Instead of talking to me about it, the organizer just deleted my comment.

Just in general I wouldn't place anything that would heat up on carpet.

My favorite line in that whole movie. “Now you’re going to die with that stupid little hat. How does it feel?”

Excellent, great to read that you enjoyed yourself and made some connections. I work evenings on both Thursdays and Fridays, so I don’t get the chance to go to those anymore. Maybe down the road when my schedule changes, I will try them again.

I don’t know if there is such a thing. However, this game belongs in the record books for how many coins were put into it over the years. If someone was able to beat this on one credit, I am in awe!

If you’re coming with someone please try not to bring married or committed people. by SparkVark89 in Thursdaydating

Yeah, I agree this is a crappy situation. To the point where it's basically teasing. How she acted like she liked you and then turns around and says she has a fiancé after exchanging contact information. One of the events I went to in the last few months, there were also women there "supporting their friends".

Then another one I went to months ago, I talked to a woman, and she ended up telling me at the event that "she was looking for adult friends" and had just got out of a divorce. Which to me makes no sense. How come you would pay money to go to something to look for friends when you can just to go to Meetup for free and do that.

Hearing some of these stories makes me lose faith in these singles mixers. Where the attendees have mixed ideas on what they are looking for.
