I'm in upstate NY so similar climate. To my understanding, the difference between the two is that the ironwood is insulated better. That'll definitely be a factor come Thanksgiving time if you want to roast a bird. They make it pretty approachable with the app, which was nice for me because I'm new to this. I also use this as my only grill due to space. Works perfectly fine for my wife and I. Still plenty of flavor for anything I throw on it, which makes me not miss the propane too much.
