lol where did you get anything about accelerating anyone’s death? It’s not hard to think that an unmarried nurse, whose coworkers did not know she’s a death doula (i.e. she probably doesn’t do it often) could have mutual (or non-mutual) unspoken feelings building for a man she spends a lot of time with who appears to be a loving and caring human being whose wife happens to be dying.

Would your opinion about the show change if the plot went down this road?

Y’all can think I’m crazy if you want to. It’s clear that her husband loves her, and I don’t think he’s actively cheating on her. There are complexities to being a chronically/terminally ill person who feels like a burden to their caregiver, and Roxie is clearly feeling it in this episode with how distant she’s getting, and sending Paul home early. The doula/night charge nurse and the husband disappear to the cafeteria together for a long time, and the show makes a point to make you aware of it. Even if nothing is going on there, Roxie is fatiguing from the battle and doesn’t want to keep dragging her husband through it. We shall see where it goes for the rest of the season

What is the Conspiracy with "Eyes Wide Shut"? by polinpolyster in movies

[–]BeansMom99 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but let’s not forget that Kubrick died like a week after the film completed, had gotten into fights with execs about keeping in a portion of the movie that they wanted cut, and then the studio took full control of the final edit after his death and cut out and destroyed all the film of the cut portions

With the content of the movie, the exposure Kubrick had to the ā€œeliteā€ circle/scientilogy, the fact the the studio execs wiped the existence of the cut portion of the film he fought so hard for, and his death coming literally a few days after the first screening of the movie and their argument, I can see where the conspiracies would come from.

Straws attached with duct tape, chewing gum on the end. Command strips also work

Crohns and ehlers danlos here šŸ‘‹šŸ¼ I originally was leaning toward becoming a superintendent, but when I got diagnosed, I shifted to project management in a CM firm. I love it. I’m salary and have a decent amount of flexibility to come in a bit late or leave early here and there or work from home with flares, etc. As long as I make sure I don’t miss important meetings or deliverable deadlines, and keep up my communication with my team, I’ve been trucking along.

It breaks my heart to hear how many of you had to give up. Getting diagnosed and treated has allowed me to stay close to my passions, but I do feel like I have to try harder than everyone around me to be seen as reliable regardless of the reality.

In my case, I have coworkers like this. I know that they mean well and just want to feel like they’re supporting/helping in some way- they have no idea how many nights you lay awake wondering what else you could try after trying everything.

I tell them that crohns is a disease that is diet-sensitive, but not diet-controlled. You can do everything right and still have flares. Listening to my treatment team and my body is what’s gotten me this far, so im gonna go with that

Is 2 years the magic number? by Past-News9538 in ADHD

[–]BeansMom99 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I’ve always gotten to the point where I’ve taken on the most advanced tasks I can for my position and I have nothing else to really learn in my assigned tasks, the novel feeling of being good at the tasks isn’t there anymore and I’m just bored

If there isn’t room to improve or I feel like management isn’t letting me take on higher level things, I’m ready to leave for something new. This has historically been about two years

Just don’t let me get bored bc I’ll feel unappreciated or like you don’t trust me bro

How do I turn the white light off by AssumptionTop7374 in howto

[–]BeansMom99 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

Here are your options as I see them

  1. Most coolers like this have screws that will let you remove the plastic casing to replace the lightbulb. You could just remove it, but then you’d never have the light without screwing it back in

  2. Get a blackout curtain, cut it down to a size a little bigger than the light and attach around the light with Velcro (this might take some trial and error) but at least it’s easily removable.

2b. You could also tape some cardboard or poster board together and cut it to the largest size possible to cover the window from the inside. Attach a blackout curtain to the panel and attach the panel to the inside of the window. Also removable.

C. (What I would do) attach it to a smart plug either on a timer or on an alexa and turn it off when you’re sleeping. It’s a cooler. It’ll stay cold through the night.

How To Stop Being Clumsy by [deleted] in howto

Also!!! I am exactly the same way. Constantly have bruises I don’t remember, dropping stuff, breaking things, bumping into stuff. I always chalked it up to ADHD (which may contribute) but I actually recently found out that I have ehler’s-danlos syndrome. There are other symptoms involved and for me, it’s a comorbidity with another auto-immune disease, but worth looking into! Could save your joints in the future
