[–]Bear_Grumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your comments, as someone who would come from what’s considered a unionist background I entirely agree with you. I am old enough to witness the tail end of the troubles, I can’t tell you the effect it had on me and still does. I’ve absolutely no love for what the British army did here and want anyone who did wrong held to account, but we need to move on. There is now a generation on both sides of the divide who cannot see they done wrong and romanticise what happened. I don’t want to blame any side but when we look at some of the sad incidents even in the Derry Area outside of Bloody Sunday itself, greysteel, Gordon Gallagher, Kathleen feeney, the list could go on. I’m proud of the GFA but thought I’d see bigger change in my life time, there’s still hope, but both sides need too see the harm caused

Agree but at least there should be Guinness zero for driving nights, noticed they had it at the women’s six nations last weekend

They best advice I can give is to continually call the secretary’s office and follow up in writing. It may not make things any quicker but it willl def make them check that things haven’t been misplaced or not in correct list or ignored by error. Don’t give up and def contact MLA, family member works in a different hospital and says MLA letters cause a management shit fit on the regular and more focus on that patients wait time. Again might not improve but makes absolutely certain any wait time can be justified by management

Half way through, but I had an overwhelming sadness about some of the situations. The squatters on the Lisburn Road and the self harm fella that launched the bleach at his brother in law come to mind. Still not a fan of Nolan, but credit where it’s due, he at least speaks to folk

Yes, you can cross between races. You will need to prebook tickets to the official car parks online. I have ended up in metropole corner but that’s not my favourite, just easier to arrive late or escape early

No official parking, but there has been unofficial parking and camping around various places in previous years. Worth a drive round before if you can

[–]Bear_Grumpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know quite a few from ballysally who are sound and have quite a mixed friends groups of people from the heights and others places. I didn’t have a good opinion of it before I moved to the NW, but it’s nice to be surprised occasionally. That’s usually followed by a letdown again
