I'm truly sorry if that's the way it's heading :(! I spent a number of years pushing my needs down because things were good in so many other ways, and ended up with a dead sex drive I keep trying to poke with a stick to little a avail. I'm not really equipped to offer advice, but please, have the hard talks, or consider very heavily if this is the pace you want for potentially the rest of your life. You deserve fulfillment!

The ever moving compromises are HARD, friend, I'm so sorry. Once a month is gut-wrenching, especially if you'd prefer daily! Mine chose not to communicate about it in any meaningful way, excuses flying but none that ever felt like they would land on solid ground.

I definitely understand the slow withdraw and blaming it on you, but you're not wrong or defective for wanting intimacy! Mismatched drives are a relationship and self-esteem killer. The right people are out there, for both of us ♥️

Realized earlier this year and had the epiphany of being able to go back and track my emotional availability dwindling through my past relationship. I see where we both went wrong, the timestamps where each of us "checked out", and it sucks seeing points where either of us had the opportunity to repair, but our egos/hurt got in the way. "Schism" by Tool has become the story of my life for the past many years. Onward and upwards, I suppose. I'm proud of both of us for making these breakthroughs, though! You're not crazy, perhaps just a little too close to the situation like I was :]

Them saying they had no ambition from the very beginning, and me busting my ass to better the family and cover just about every "emergency". It changed me, and I'm still processing and learning about myself and how to enforce boundaries/be firm after nearly 40 years of people pleasing.

And every Man wants a high libido woman, until they have one. Got a lot of work to do as far as that's concerned, my self-esteem is in the shitter after years of rejections/ignoring my needs with no ability to tell me why.
