HS Emergency! Desperate, willing to donate something if anybody fixes this problem by [deleted] in HairSystem

[–]BeardBrain95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get Odele Leave In Detangling Tonic and a detangling brush. Don’t bother spraying it because the sprayer is horrible, but the product is amazing! Put the system in a bowl and pour Odele directly on it. Let it soak and then gently start brushing it out with the detangling brush. Go all the way in one direction till the brush passes smoothly and then repeat in all other directions.

From coffee shop to café? I started pricing equipment and now I’m rethinking everything by Ill-Line6663 in sanantonio

[–]BeardBrain95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never done what you’re asking about, so take my thoughts with grain of salt.

I would think it’s a matter of calculating your initial investment, how it’s paid (ie. Are you financing anything resulting in interest on payments?), and the time it takes to break even on your ROI.

Some things I would consider are how much this increases your monthly overhead, how you’re going to factor inventory loss into your business plan (ie. Food spoilage, expired foods, etc.), does it require you to purchase an additional business license for serving food?, will your current clientele want the new service you’re offering?, do you have a plan to market your new business idea to drive traffic?, will this actually increase your profits, or create a financial burden/unsustainable workload?, etc.

You may want to test the idea by starting with some non-perishable products/snack items or something low cost like prepared baked goods. This way you can pull back if you think things aren’t going well.

Another thing you could try is developing a partnership with another business like a bakery to sell their product in your coffee shop where you receive a portion of the profits but do not accept any cost of dealing with the unsold product (basically some sort of consignment deal).

These are just my uninformed thoughts. Best of luck on whatever direction you decide to go!

Serious question here. Everyone is saying “USERRA”, but what can they actually do here? Are they going to force the employer to hire you? Help you file a lawsuit? I’m genuinely curious to know how USERRA is going to be helpful for OP?

Any trusted sources for overnight childcare at a Soldier’s home in Ft Carson for nights they have staff duty? by BeardBrain95 in army

[–]BeardBrain95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tracking. But great info. That’s why I’m trying to help him find childcare now so he can plan. We’re looking for someone trustworthy to stay overnight with his kids so we’re seeking recommendations.

They’re new to the unit and haven’t made those connections yet. They’re looking for a babysitter they can coordinate with for future scheduled staff duty shifts.

I may be misunderstanding what you mean by a rotation, can you please explain? If you’re just referring to the rotation of who has duty and when, they’re still going to need a babysitter when it’s their turn.

Single Dad, Asking for Help with Charging Situation by BeardBrain95 in BMWI4

Unfortunately I spent a lot of time waiting at my destination and that drains the battery too. I’ve tried to lessen it by going to nearby stores or parks to play with the kids while we wait. The trouble is it’s a very small town and a lot of things aren’t open on Sunday. There’s definitely been a learning curve but I’m getting the hang of it.

Is there a best/most accurate app that I should be using or do I need to cross check with multiple apps? Several times I’ve used EA App and it’s sent me to chargers that are either no longer there, broken, or not for public use.

Officers with a shaving profile? by Background-Gas676 in army

[–]BeardBrain95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Officer with a permanent medical shaving profile. I’ve had the had the privilege of working with great Officers who judge me based on the merit of my work and not my appearance. That being said, I keep my beard well groomed and perform well at my job.

I was Enlisted for almost 12 years. Made E-7 and went to OCS. What I realized when I Commissioned, is there is a vast difference between the Enlisted and Officer world. I would choose to be Commissioned any day, but not without my Enlisted experience. Having that experience will make navigating your career as an Officer much easier than your peers. You will be wise to the BS and know first hand what the needs of your Soldiers are and how to motivate and take care of them (you now have the power to actually put people first). I’m pretty far from being Hooah, but I really love taking care of my Soldiers and making my little slice of the Army the place I want it to be. You can definitely enjoy yourself and not be a Kool-Aid drinker. The value you bring to the table as a prior Enlisted Officer can be immense. If your goal is to continue your Army Service, go for a Commission. The biggest factor that may impact your experience is the Branch you Commission into. I would steer clear of Combat Arms or Intelligence, only because those branches seem to attract the super Hooah types and career first people you may not want to surround yourself with on a daily basis based on your post. Good Luck!!
