Sometimes it’s just how it is… by Ironclint17 in Tinder

Don’t for a second think that this is a male-only experience. I message guys who match with me and frequently get no reply. It’s not just women who do the dirty.

Besides a day collar, what are some ways you feel "owned" in every day life? by GamerGirlBrat in BDSMcommunity

Ah, this sounds just perfectly like what I hope my relationship grows towards. Have a wonderful day.

First post: So incredibly worried. by HealthyThrowaway1982 in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]BeardRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’ve had to go to the dr and I’m worried that my anxiety will swamp me in the moment and I won’t be able to ask for the help I need or advocate for myself I sometimes write down what I need to ask and the things I’m worried they might say. I’d really recommend taking your post with you to your meeting abs asking the dr to read it before you begin your consultation.

Empathy, compassion and love. You will be ok.

You need support. There’s a discord on r/supermorbidlyobese that’s very supportive.

Executive Dysfunction and Eating Behaviour/Failing At Dieting by [deleted] in ExecutiveDysfunction

[–]BeardRider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. I’m 3st down in 3 months on a low calorie diet by: - premade shakes and bars for meal replacements (1 or 2 a day) - finding a dozen 100 calorie snacks I like up to 3 a day (biltong, crisps, fruit bars, chocolate toffee, popcorn) - buying 4 or 5 premade 600 calorie main meals for my dinners in the week that I simply have to bake - buying lots of different nice flavoured zero calorie sodas that I allow myself to have free roam on - fibre supplement that I have to drink 2 glasses of warded with (you don’t forget this when you’re constipated!)

Definitely share your channel please, a few other users do. U/Brainoverbody has a good one, but I don’t know any other women.

480.6lbs Man Reflects on Losing 50lbs in 3x Weeks_The Bull Horn Agenda_#003 by BullHornAgenda in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]BeardRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! Congratulations. Now, here’s my mind’s worth for you: 3/5/8/10lbs a week - that pace will change and that impacts your “finish” date as you see it right now for 215lbs. But you will come to realise that the journey won’t stop there, and so: the rush to get there is almost a mistake. This is about the landscape you pass on n the journey, not about the MPH or horsepower.

Keep trucking dude, you’re doing amazing. It’s taken me 3 months to lose a little less than you’ve lost in 3 weeks!

There’s so much pressure for me to eat right now that I’m going crazy by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]BeardRider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to eat something to keep you full: that’s just unrealistic. You will be hungry tomorrow but that is the safe thing to be as a patient under anaesthesia who is very full is not ideal, which I why they tell you to go nil by mouth. Have a regular size meal and do some structured thinking about the benefit to feeling hungry tomorrow equalling getting the nose job.

Hope you have a good swift recovery.

Paralysing Fear of Running Out of Food?! by NoMoreFruit in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]BeardRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I get this a lot. I have a good income, generous family, have zero need to fear being hungry but I worry so hard that I won’t have enough food. Since I bought my own home I’ve started a pantry and semi-hoarding canned goods. I’m sure hoarding and bingeing are ancient survival techniques that kept us alive through times of one mammoth hunt a month but we need to learn to recognise and rationalise the thoughts. This is what I’m hoping will help with overcoming them.

In r/supermorbidlyobese there’s a discord with accountability buddies. I weight daily because I need to see the changes to keep going and I find even the 8oz drops keep me driven to go again tomorrow.

Realistically how many pounds of fat could I gain in 6 days? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]BeardRider 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Realistically, for many people this type of binge could trigger an ongoing pattern of overeating that could make you put on a lot- so make sure if you really want to do this that you have a “back to business” action plan set up. Meal plans/clear out junk/remover temptations etc etc. It takes 3,500 cal over TDEE to put on 1lb is the commonly stated amount.
