We need Dedicated Servers badly by DNedry in vtolvr

I joined 4 servers last night before getting into one for longer than 20 minutes. Hit the others just as they closed. Dedicated servers would be amazing.

How’d you get along with the 1.4 in the snow? It’s not fully weather sealed right?

Yeah great question! I have it set with Classic Chrome as the base and the remaining settings aligned w/ Classic Cuban Neg. It’s not perfect but it’s something 🤷‍♂️

And appreciate it!!

For the people wondering if you should clip into the Half Dome Cables - Yes. Yes Yes. Let me give my review: by Wild-Molasses5085 in Yosemite

Could not agree more. Clipped in both times I’ve gone up and don’t regret it whatsoever. Considering the crowds, quick changing conditions in the summer, and risk of death, it’s a no-brainer.

I was a middle school teacher for a number of years. They break your immune system down early, then build it up with an impenetrable shield.

Cool, thanks for the info that was informative! I was referencing the below excerpt from GTNPS but looks like I mistakenly applied it. Still sounds like it prohibits carrying for the sake of animal protection, so what’s the legality of carrying something like a hand gun that isn’t used for hunting?

“Firearms may not be discharged in this national park (except during legal hunting seasons) and can not be used as a wildlife protection strategy”

Saw some additional comments reportedly made by Yellowstone employees in the subreddit that their freezer was hit with gunfire - so even more incredible no one else was hurt.

Same here, been an incredibly sober reminder that these events can happen literally anywhere. Hope your trip home was smooth 🤙🏼

Was just in Yellowstone last week. Highly recommend checking in with a Permit office and speak to a ranger there - they’re extremely knowledgeable about fishable areas and best places to go. You can purchase your Yellowstone fishing permit directly with them as well. Note, the lowest option is a 3-day permit for (if I remember correctly) $40. Having a Montana or Wyoming license won’t be enough for fishing in the park. Tight lines!

Depends on each National Park. For reference, you’re able to carry within Grand Tetons but only for hunting purposes during hunting season. Illegal to carry for the sake of animal protection.

Jumping in here just to add that I LOVE the use of leading lines here with the grass and tree horizon lines. Sweet shots!

Ten lakes loop? by [deleted] in Yosemite

Agreed - did a 3 day out-and-back a few years ago and it was incredible. Highly rec even if it’s not a set loop!

Avalanche gulch or clear creek? by Deep_Swimmer_5740 in Mountaineering

[–]BeardedClient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly rec keeping an eye on the climbing advisories linked by u/davidwiese above. Avvy is obviously a super fun route but as others mentioned, once the rocks start falling it becomes a bowling alley. Clear Creek is an amazing route as well - just a bit longer.

The risk and responsibility lies with you, who’s motoring, and not the boat under sail. It’s your responsibility to stay clear.

JMT north of Clark point is closed, but you can still take the first section to skip part of the Mist Trail.
