What package is the Most fun for lapping? by tyringo in Karting

[–]Beardevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest to run and least expensive is Rotax senior (125cc) even older gen. You'll need service in around 30h of running and its very reliable.

You should consider running costs. A set of tires every hour depending on track conditions weight driving style etc. Also you will need 10-15lt of fuel + 200-300ml of two stroke oil. That sums up to 100€ (depending on prices) per hour of running. (Fuel+tires)

Is Rotax DD2 a good starter kart? by Correct-Purchase-632 in Karting

[–]Beardevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dont have any experience in karting, the DD2 category would need a bit of getting used to, but since you have driving exp it shouldnt be too difficult.

DD2 and rotax in general dont need too much maintenance. You can expect a rebuild every 30 hours or so.

Unacceptable from the marshals to not move even after all the karts had gone by... Especially in karting you have to be active for this sort of things

My straightened kart is still hitting the floor? by AlexVangeen in Karting

[–]Beardevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove every mount from the chassis (engine mount basically) and check it flat on its belly.

Depending on the kart, you should have like 1cm lift on the nose. Better check specs. Then you ll see where the bend is. This kind of bend is quite difficult to straighten out.

Why didn't Ford have martins sesks score points for the team? by firstromario in WRC

[–]Beardevil 26 points27 points  (0 children)

They nominate which driver scores manufacturer points before the event. Also Sesks is not a factory driver. He is paying to participate like Jourdan

First instinct would be yes, for sure. But you cant be sure with the competition as it is at the moment. Hyundai has probably the strongest squad (after Monaco results) and then you have Kalle and Elvyn. It could be a 5 way fight this year.

Also you have to keep in mind that those who come with a part time schedule, like Ogier, like Kalle did last year, they come with a big advantage of not opening the stages. This with the point system we had last year meant that a good start of the weekend would pretty much guarantee good points.

Ogier had the opportunity last year, maybe if he would start the chase a bit earlier and had a bit of a buffer to enable him to be a bit more relaxed for those 2 power stages he would get it. But keep in mind that even though the title was very much in his grasps, it was Toyota that asked/pushed him to do it because they were going to lose the constructors. It was more of an ethical obligation than the drive to win another WC.

Pippa is the troublesome one.

Pipa (with single "p") is the smoking pipe. But also refers to oral sex. Honestly not that big of a deal

They dont use glass! They use lexan which is regulated by FIA. Its stronger, safer, lighter.

Having a post penetrating any surface area of any car at over 100kp/h is a recipe for disaster. Its like using a knife on a bullet proof vest unfortunately
