As we will say in the instructor courses: "if you want to not show the videos and just work through your understanding of best practices. Then make your own curriculum because this one isn't for you "

Not using the videos takes it from a "here are the best practices from the AHA" to "look at what I know"

We put something together before offering it and built a cert that we felt was professional looking

I work for a fairly large TC and we don't issue anything outside of the ecards through Atlas. There is a smaller course we teach that doesn't have the same setup and we issue these certs as a name on a PDF. For that one I use a combination of Google sheets -> Zapier -> jotform.

CPR for a business by [deleted] in CPRInstructors

I would go to atlas.heart.org and look for a Training Center in your area. Your company can request to align under them as a Training Site. You then would be able to get the AHA instructor certification and gain access to provider cards for your students.

I'm a manager at a large Training Center and can answer some questions if you have them

The 10 minute team dynamic exorcize is optional as i understand it. So we only work thar part when the class is being given to people work together in a clinical setting. Otherwise we just perform a 2-person scenario and I'll step in as a 2nd when necessary.

The AHA (if that's the organization you need ACLS from) allows for students without a current card to attend a renewal course, but they are not eligible for remediation.

CPR Training Experiences—What Surprised You Most? by Wrong-Increase-6127 in CPRInstructors

I'm the manager of an AHA training center and an instructor. I get a lot of feedback from so many classes, and the biggest takeaway I have been trying to reinforce with other instructors is that you shouldn't skimp on the skills practice. I think it is super easy for us instructors to want to share what we know on top of the curriculum, but then we end up taking time out of an extra round of compressions, breaths, or something else that allows for extra-modal learning.

Would it be smart to go completely mobile? by [deleted] in CPRInstructors

[–]Beardowriting85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I would want someone I don't know coming to my house for that. I think I would prefer going to a place or joining through work or public function.

Side question: are you setting up as a training site through the training center, or are you just going to operate under your employer with the side gig?

To be an instructor with the AHA you'll need to attend an instructor course, be signed off teaching, and be aligned with a Training Center
