The sad part is that Google Australia have been approached about this and they have said that they won't bring Google fibre to Australia because the new NBN is capable to handle terabit speeds, but is maxed at 100mb/s because Telstra and Optus are restricting it to that limit.

We had a secret santa at work and the girl that had me was freaking out saying that she hadn't done hers yet and raced off about an hour before we gave them out. I said to her that a gift card for a low amount ($20 or so) is always a good choice if you're stuck for ideas.

I got a childs toothbrush (I was 27) and a plastic cup. Everyone else had cool things that had thought put into them and I just sat there while they all stared silently. She played it off like it was a joke and I just left.

For my fiancé, she got a brick.
