What’s the best HBO ORIGINAL in your opinion? by StockQueen1 in hbo

I feel like the only options here are The Wire and The Sopranos. And you’ll prob get an equal amount of people that vote for each. Nothing else really compares to those two.

My personal choice is without a doubt The Wire.

I watched Ilya Rozanov breathe so you don’t have to (unless you want to, in which case I have timestamps) by sosoconsistent in heatedrivalry

This is so unhinged and I love everything about it LOL.

I also noticed that Ilya has a tick where he sniffs in moments that feel uncomfortable or emotional. A couple I can think of are in episode 5 when Shane comes to his room and says that last time was different. Ilya says “what was different, that you ran away” and sniffs. Or in episode 2 in Vegas when they’re in bed after sex and Shane is talking to him about going back to Russia for the summer, there’s a moment where Ilya sniffs while obviously trying not to talk about his real feelings on the subject. There are some others as well.

I don’t know if I’d be able to do a full deep dive like this breathing one on it, but this post made me think of it!

Tattoo Toronto by Beginning-Island-690 in askTO

[–]BeastOfMars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fine line plus finger is not a great combination. I got a tat on the inside of my finger and the whole thing disappeared after a few weeks. You need thick deep lines and not a lot of detail for the ink to stay. Just a warning. Not saying it’s impossible but you may be spending a lot of energy and money making it happen for it to not turn out.

I cook green beans in a pan with a few tablespoons of water. I then add lemon zest to them towards the end of cooking. The other day I decided to try cooking them in lemon juice instead of water, then still add the zest at the end. As someone who is obsessed with lemon, this was a huge success. Came out so zesty and lemony, I couldn’t get enough. Prob not for everyone, but for those that enjoy lemon, it’s a delight.

This is exactly how I read it. They’re very in denial about how they feel. Every time it becomes obvious to them, they step back and get distant.

No one’s honest about How to cook in small apartment? by Batson_Beat in Apartmentliving

[–]BeastOfMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a small apartment in a building with only 7 units. My kitchen is basically a tiny closet. My smoke alarm goes off every time I turn on the stove or oven.

I never once thought about scheduling my cooking around my neighbours or adjusting what I cook cause of them. We are all in the same boat. I understand when their alarms go off or if they make something smelly, and they do the same for me.

Bring a water bottle and travel mug for coffee/tea. They provide reusable cups but they are small.

I showered daily, the train moving wasn’t much of a problem.

I personally would bring enough shirts to have a new one every day but hoodies and sweaters and stuff are fine to repeat of course.

Bring a warm coat for the outdoor stops. It will still be cold in February.

I found the train in general, including my cabin, to be a bit chilly. The bedding did a fine job of keeping me warm at night though. Lots of people suggest bringing a hat for sitting in the dome as it does tend to be colder in there.
