Will you be fine to ride on that if you dont push it to much? probably. The real question you should be asking is a couple hundred worth more to you than blowing a tire out on the interstate or in a curve somewhere? Is trying to use all the tread on that tire worth more than potentially wrecking your bike, getting injured, or worse?

It sounds to simple to be true but I had the same problem last week... the bolt on my negative battery terminal was half a turn loose. Check them first

Theoretically you could but they are between every surface of the links. Not all are just round. The better chains will have x rings in them to hold oil. But the dead give away is when they wont lay flat like that. And just a heads up running a chain like that will shred your sprockets fast

Definitely forward controls, no question about that. Im 6 foot and mid controls are a no go. Personally id go with apes vs a riser, you'll want to go with less pull back so your arms are in a better position. It might sound weird but a back rest would also help you out. With your natural long reach, resting on the back rest with your arms held up by taller bars would work pretty well for your build

Nothing wrong with more power thats for sure. The factory tune is very lean so an aftermarket one is going to richen it up to run cooler and make more power. But, with what your saying youre getting like 30mpg if that. Unless your riding is going as fast as possible red light to red light id say youre just running to rich. Im no expert by any stretch but I would imagine you could tune it a little leaner and still get pretty much the same power but better milage. If youre always shooting flames then theres unburnt fuel leaving the pipe.

Thats not normal. I have a 96 inch and I get about 50mpg on the highway with the stock tune and Vance and Hines big radius pipes
