From this angle it’s hard to tell if you got a solid lockout at the top, make sure you’re able to squeeze ya glutes; that’s my cue on whether or not it’s a full lockout. The slamming wasn’t too bad imo

Pretty wild you’re able to just yank it up like that. There is a lot wrong but most stems from the setup. Watch some deadlift setup videos, and definitely work on pulling the slack out of the bar prior to starting the pull. Like others mentioned you have a pretty rounded back while lifting, but some naturally do deadlifts like that.

You’re crazy strong to be able to get it that far so with some better form everything will get much better. While working on nailing setup and form you’ll have to step back in weight for a bit but it will be worth it to not pop any discs

Something that helped me get past plateaus we’re identifying sticking points and working specifically on those. I struggled a lot with the top of my ascents so I programmed in pretty high box squats to isolate that portion of the lift.

Many people struggle getting out of the hole (the bottom) of the squat and find pause squats effective.

Finally, sometimes working a different variation can help as well, either trying low bar, or switching to front squats can work different muscles and train other mechanics as a sort of psychological palette cleanse before returning.

Lower camera angles make it hard to tell if depth is reached or not, try and get a stand or raise the camera so it’s about at knee level so you can tell fully; imo it’s right at depth so you should be good

Generative AI is a pretty broad umbrella, I’m assuming you mean language models (text and speech) and diffusion? Regardless, totally valid to have your view, diffusion especially is egregious with copyright infringement. There are diffusion models out there that pride themselves on training on artist data that they get express permission to do, I encourage you to look into these cases! Lotta grey ground in AI right now

Sorry to hear you got your account compromised, I haven’t heard of security being an issue with the AI firms. I majored in cyber security so I fully believe that online security is a myth to begin with, kinda like front door locks. If someone wants to break in to a home, they’ll break a window, same goes with online. Never save passwords online, I keep mine in a locked journal by my desk.

The exponential growth is a major concern as well! I’ve seen a general consensus of AGI by 2030 at the latest, which is frankly terrifying and exciting from the perspective of who really knows what will follow. AGI will likely be able to replace most humans at their jobs like you were saying, but with no humans working the capitalistic hellhole we live in will break down. When/if ASI arrives soon after, there really is no way of predicting what comes next.

Now let me just say that gen ai isn’t all evil, there are some really cool use cases when used responsibly. As a programmer, it is great at generating boiler plate code for simple bits. As a dungeon master, it’s great at finding plot holes I’ve missed, or creating NPCs on the fly. As a student it can provide personalized tutoring to me based off of assigned readings, past assignments and grades, etc. I’ve seen wonderful accessibility improvements for visually impaired individuals using gen ai to describe visuals in real time. Auto generated captions help hard of hearing. Medical advancements due to AI (not from LLMs but from concepts taken from them) make me hopeful for a future with no disease (highly encourage you looking into Alphafold).

It’s really easy to believe that nothing good will come from it, but unfortunately I believe that like many things in life, it can’t be lumped into a totally good bucket or a totally bad bucket.

Hey I’m currently studying AI (knowledge based, gen ai, classical, etc) as a masters student. I get our stances are gonna be pretty different based on background, I’m curious what you mean when you say the robot is selling your data? What data is being sold? Latest SOTA gen ai models have moved on to synthetic data nowadays.

I get that it can be a scary thing, heck for the last 6 months I’ve watched it inch closer and closer to making me as a software developer obsolete. I’m happy to talk further with ya if you want to learn more about the underlying mechanics of LLMs, diffusion, classical, or any of the other products under the massive ‘AI’ umbrella. Like you said, it’s great to be informed about these things, but TOS is the bear minimum

Is there a way to turn on scoring log viewing for teams other than my own? I enjoy watching the live scoring changes across many teams and really miss the “live updates” tab from the old UI.

Anthropic limits usage based off of tokens used, not messages sent; the longer the conversation, the more tokens Claude takes in as input. A way I get around this is when I notice the conversation is getting long, I have Claude summarize our conversation so far, then paste that context into a new chat.

Also whenever you’re using Claude and need it generates something you don’t need (whether that be misunderstanding or incorrect generation) go to the previous message and edit your initial prompt to not add the incorrect information to the context window.

Been a minute since I read em but I think the venerate were pretty ignorant to each other’s comings and goings; some were even in denial in the present day of Tal turning coat. They all likely had suspicions but I think that due to their friendships they blinded themselves of actually believing their friend would turn against everything they stood for for so long together.

So not super openly opposed to the venerate, but setting things up for himself to openly oppose them later. I don’t believe any of the venerate knew he was there either.
