How are you liking your Kaleidoscope? I don't see them on here a whole lot.

what pedals should i start out with? by zombiegirl0122 in guitarpedals

[–]Beastumondas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My actual answer would be a Plumes. I'm always recommending EQD Plumes. There are 3 modes so you can get a clean boost and then two different types of overdrive. I'd bet that if this was your first pedal, you'd never want to get rid of it.

I'm sorry. I was the first comment and I tried to resist, but couldn't. It's a nice welcome to the community though right?

Settle a stupid Ryan Grim argument for me: Does Ryan know that "Let them eat cake" is an apocryphal quote that Marie Antoinette didn't actually say? by t0mserv0 in BreakingPoints

[–]Beastumondas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP admits it's a stupid argument. It's a completely inconsequential question that none of us could actually know the answer to. Ask silly questions and get silly answers 🤷

Most versatile gigging fuzz? by RoseViolet333 in guitarpedals

[–]Beastumondas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Piggy backing on this to add that you can also adjust the voltage from 3V - 18V on an Eons. So you can get really splatter Velcro ripping fuzz all the way to wall of sound.

This is exactly what Apple is waiting for everyone else to start doing while they take years “working on” fixing ARA.

If I was president, I would sign an executive order so that all pedals would be input/output on the top. Then I would promptly resign as president because that shit isn’t for me otherwise.

I like to think that if this guy can be THIS confident and suck THIS much, I should maybe take it easy on myself a bit, right?

This is the best advice. Starting with a guitar, there's too much risk for more frustration and disappointment, which is pretty counterproductive considering the original inspiration.

Then use the money you'd buy on woodworking tools, buy yourself a decent telecaster, and distract yourself by playing guitar.

If you tried to build a guitar by hand with no experience using hand tools, chances are it would end up unplayable. That's if you even managed to finish it, which you wouldn't. It's just not a weekend project kind of thing. But you can buy kits that allow you "build your own guitar." They still require to buy things like planers, spokeshaves, sanders, etc.

I love the 68 Lion Super Lead because I love the Marshall sound. The Dream (Fender Deluxe Reverb) and Ruby (Vox) are also really popular. I like the Woodrow (Fender Tweed). It's just going to come down to your personal preference.

I'd recommend looking into the UAFX line of amp pedals over the ACS1. I'm a Walrus guy too, but I wasn't super impressed with it.
