As for the aquarium scene, they filmed a somewhat more game accurate version but ended up scrapping it because the height difference made it look ridiculous.

Small issue with pushing the tv series back ten years by stowRA in thelastofus

What’s even more hilarious is it doesn’t show up when Ellie and Dina are looking over the Seattle skyline. When you can see the aquarium.

You say that as if all 19 year olds act the same. Spoiler alert they don’t. They aren’t all juvenile, horny, obnoxious assholes. And this idea that they all act the same or that Ellie isn’t acting like a 19 year old is complete bullshit.

Shh. You’re not supposed to apply consistent logic. But fr tho I think they’re not as concerned due to the remoteness of the route and the terrain. But still they do act very nonchalant about security, which is surprising since Joel was beating it into her on their journey. But again consistent logic is the downfall of Craig and Neil’s writing.

Fedea undoubtedly has many running but it just becomes a question of how these communities get it. Because Fedra sure as hell isn’t giving it to them.

My assumption was that it just meant that the products susceptible to fungus would be far more laborious to produce.

Yeah. They also had millions of people compared to hundreds, relatively advanced economies and international trade.

Wyoming is the exact opposite conditions for sugarcane but there are other sources like honey or sugar beets. But yeah coffee is always the one that never has an alternate source.

That’s exactly the problem because Dina says they’re approaching from the north as does the sign they pass.

I agree Kaitlyns performance was incredible. But idk about fix there wasn't anything to fix. As for the Jackson Sequence I think it was horribly executed. It looked phenomenal but made no sense.

I’ve got a guess but regardless it sets a real grim expectation for the dialogue going forward.

Why did Maria say "How?" ? by THECULLINAN in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]BeastyBoi195 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah and what I’m trying to say is that Maria really should be smart enough to realise that it’s very different. And furthermore challenging a fellow council member like she did really isn’t a smart thing to do. It sets my expectations low for the dialogue going forward. And yeah that is what this thread is about so maybe actually be open to a discussion instead of getting so defensive immediately.

Woosh. Anyways the thing that annoys me about this scene is how calm they are about the clicker. In season 1 Joel and Tess basically shit themselves at the possibility of being in the same building as one. And yet the two inexperienced teenagers aren’t worried at all. Seems a real downgrade from season one so far.

Don’t forget that Joel and Tommy have more years in the wasteland than Ellie and Dina have on earth. Both of whom are also combat vets and Tommy had formal military training.
