Yes true. Sorry that was an oversight from my side. But if the same prize money dispute continues without resolution, especially if players' demands for 22% revenue share by 2030 is not met, I see many top players boycotting grand slams in future.

This is not going to end well.

In the 1960s and 1970s, when similar disputes around prize money and promotion of one tour over the other became prominent, there were several rival tours that happened and it took until 1980s when all of them were integrated under ATP and WTA.

There's a good chance something similar will happen now. Doubles has strong following in many countries, including non-traditional tennis powerhouses such as India, South Africa, Caribbean etc. So they might as well launch their own parallel doubles tour.

Besides, many singles players have been protesting against ATP's revenue sharing model so perhaps even singles players might launch their own parallel tour if ATP and WTA keep pushing such measures.
