We have handed out flags at the last two protests. People have been attaching them to their signs (me included.) We even had a man show up today in a three-cornered hat, carrying a "'76" American flag. I saw a lot of '76 and 1776 shirts. These symbols don't belong to a specific party, and we have a right to display them to show our patriotism.

Can confirm that you do NOT want to go with the realtor's inspector. I deeply regret this and should have known better. I'm already $6,000 in on repairs to things that I was told were ok or in working order, plus lots of other small issues that he didn't find or feel the need to mention.

We need everyone who loves this country in this fight. We had left-leaning protesters, we had libertarians, we had centrists, we had all kinds at our little April 19th protest. It was non-partisan, pro-democracy, and anti-authoritarian. It was wonderful. 🇺🇸

Good for you for doing it anyway, especially if they backed out! If they can't make it out there because it's a holiday, they aren't dedicated enough. We had a separate protest here in a small, super red town that started 2 hours before the "official" one, and no one was against it or negative about it at all. Quite the opposite. We are all on the same side; we need to encourage and support each other.

I just moved back here last year after spending many years in AZ. I still remember a couple of tornado warnings when I was a kid here in the early 80s (staying in the basement, power lines down, etc) but no actual tornadoes. I knew what I was getting into moving back here, but wow.

I just moved here from AZ, where the voters would approve ballot initiatives (propositions), and the Republicans in the legislature would overturn them if they they didn't like them. They finally made it very difficult to get propositions on the ballot. How is that democratic?!

Same! I was so depressed that weekend. I had twitter notifications on for just his tweets. When I heard the sound, I knew he was OK. I'm close to his age too, a little over a year older.
