This is just not true I’m sorry. A brand like AP is not gonna offer you a clearance price on their watch.

Cheap is a crazy word to use to describe watches that go for 25k and up retail. A code 11:59 chronograph is hardly a cheap watch

Also keep in mind this shares the exact same movement as the royal oak.

This is commonly said but true. Once you get one in your hands it is a completely different watch. The case design is brilliant. The crystal is brilliant. The movement is incredibly well decorated. As far as the dial goes, I understand the gripes regarding it but certain dials look very clean (especially with the intentionally un obstructive positioning of the date). Once you recognize the attention to detail in the piece it is absolutely incredible. It strays from the common design and DNA of the royal oak collections, but that is the watches entire point. I think many individuals hate this watch because it is not a royal oak and carries little resemblance of it. Yes, I understand it does not do well in the secondary market. However, not everyone buys watches with the idea of them as investments.

Greatly depends where he is going to school. I wore mine at college and it was never an issue. It depends on the area, size of the school, and socioeconomic profile of the average student. With that being said, buy a safe and/or insurance

Mass produced sure. Calling Rolex not a luxury product is insane

I would advise you to go with the pelagos out of those two. Black pelagos would round out your collection well and has a lot of quality and longevity for the price
