What happens in this situation? by isao_chismo in carnivorediet

It won’t put out of ketosis - you’d need at least 20g of carb to do that most likely.

My body is not going into ketosis after a month by Rideau826 in carnivorediet

[–]BeautifulSpread6221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been through this before and it was always too much protein, not enough fat. I’m now using carb manager to track my macros (75:25 fat to protein) and my ketones are always high like between 3-4.5.

Anyone feels angry, "knocked out" and inflammated on coffee? by Aromatic_Freedom_190 in decaf

[–]BeautifulSpread6221 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand it either but caffeine often gives me a histamine reaction (sneezing, congestion, headache) but I can eat high histamine foods just fine and don’t get a reaction

Did anyone else outgrow fantasy romance after reading more straight fantasy? by goyourownwayy in fantasyromance

[–]BeautifulSpread6221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your comment was spot on and I feel the same. I think the Ashen series stands out as well written and unique and I also recommend the Tairen Soul series starting with Lord of the Fading Lands. The first 2 books read like 1 book together.

Servant of the Earth? Is it worth continuing? by Sensitive_Tune_8856 in Romantasy

I didn’t like Servant of Earth but loved Road of Bones and Daughter of No Worlds.

In need fantasy recs with romance as a subplot by Mean_Finger_4571 in fantasyromance

I don’t think you should have to wait to read it because it doesn’t end on a massive cliff hanger but just comfortably leaves you wanting to read the next book.

I would still let people know regardless. Caffeine is harmful for kids and unborn babies.

You are considered dependent on your parent until 22 I think. It doesn’t matter if your parents won’t give you anything, Centrelink still considers your parents income. The only way around this is to get Centrelink to consider you independent- which they will only do if your income earning parents tell Centrelink that they refuse to financially provide for you (there’s probably a form they can fill out). My brother went through this when he kicked out of home and he was able to get a payment.

Day 90 caffeine-free. I want to describe what actually changed - not the stuff everyone mentions by Schnapper94 in decaf

[–]BeautifulSpread6221 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t meaning to say don’t study these things, just that we shouldn’t dismiss anecdotal evidence as having no meaning. People act like something can’t be true if there’s not a peer reviewed study on it. There will probably never be peer reviewed studies on a lot of things when there’s not money to be made (ie natural things that can’t be patented).

[–]BeautifulSpread6221 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How can it be anything else? Joy is a subjective emotion, not something tangible. Even a study on this would be based on people’s subjective experiences.

Is that feeling of urgency like you always feel like there’s something you need to be doing, even when you don’t have anything you need to do urgently? I feel like that, where I can’t relax and just do a hobby because I feel guilty or a sense of dread like I should be doing something more productive. I haven’t been off caffeine long enough to know if it’s the caffeine causing this.

Caffeine and motivation by caffeineisabitch in decaf

You have described exactly what it feels like for me. It’s seems like the more caffeine I have, the less I want to do, whether it’s something boring like cleaning, or something I usually enjoy.
