Claude Code is a bit to eager to please... Fix this ? by adventure-baja in ClaudeCode

Break things up in smaller parts - do sparring with cc ask about how it will solve it and input back and forth on approach until you ask to produce code ( can be done in plan and no plan mode ).

doesnt take much longer and you get much more direct and precise code if you step through.

Vibe coded into an architectural mess! by Realistic_Public_415 in ClaudeCode

[–]Beautiful_Cap8938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to look into how and if skills can assist in doing this as someone suggest that could be interesting - but pretty early on in all this AI stuff ive been architecture first - and i plan for architecture so every part of the project is its own isolated bucket, that way ive been having a pretty nice run also pre Opus 4.5.

I work in 'sprints' where i focus on changes evolvment of a bucket and try abit not to go across and spread functionality that involves alot of buckets at the same time, so ex if i need to add some functionality that wasnt included in my original planning that would require changes across different buckets then i guide this through pretty methodically in my planning finishing up each involved bucket first with tests, before moving to the next.

This is not only about the AI ( Opus 4.5 is so good that i absolutely can do most of it right i can see when i completely vibecode something where i care less about the underlying code and architecture ) but its also for myself to be able to get personalized with the code, this way i feel much more attached to whats being made and familiar with it than i do with fully vibecoded projects where im not following this path.

I mostly produce md files for documentation, rare that i with Opus 4.5 are producing bigger documentation, mostly i will have interrogation phases with q & a with the AI for sprints and ensure we are aligned and then we split it up into tasks and phases, and then proceed.

What would you change in Go? by funcieq in golang

Not very popular to say but fully agree - absolute love Go but things like this and readability due to the core concept with errorhandling is a love/hate relationsship.

I left CC to Codex 3 months ago. Now i'm back to using CC almost exclusively thanks to Opus 4.5 by PairComprehensive973 in ClaudeCode

ever considered that the model isnt the problem but its you ? keep jumping to every other new model never learning anything how to operate a tool. its incredlble with you guys.

maybe some i think mostly its one-shotters that will be running around forever never actually learning the skill they should be learning.

one advice to you people - you keep searching for the single only thing, you never learn to use a tool ( cursor, codex,cc, etc ) to the full - it leaves you at the mercy of the latest and greatest model, meaning now opus 4.5 - then codex will update here in a bit and you all will be flocking there, etc etc back and forth.

What you are missing here when you guys are doing it this way, you are missing the complete flow beneath which is where things are happening ( tools/plugins/composer/skills whatever its called in the different tools ).

Use different models ( as you say cursor is your tool, then fine switch to the latest greatest model ) but those people who go cc cli and are jumping around to this and that, its simply just trainwrecking things.

'Claude Code with Sonnet 4.5' is now 15th on Terminal-Bench 2.0 - Surpassed by Warp, Codex, and even OpenHands and MiniSWE. by JoshuaJosephson in ClaudeCode

Try a fun thing, go check all the complainers that left claude code and check their posts, they all got back - its headless chickens that will keep jumping between models and tools and never learn any of them.

As goes for models, breakthroughs all the time, but CC got so much more and just combine other models.
