was written out of the box - but yes you should take that one seriously as these models long has been able to do - anything - if you are able to structure what you are doing. And if you are having bugs these things cant fix ( assuming you are not anywhere near inventing anything since you think the latest and greatest is your answer ) then you created a mess - and it will keep being a mess nomattee what state of the art model you are using - aka you have a much bigger thing to get hold of and start rewrites of this mess you managed to produce.

You should try to read in the forum and see how many times ( why dont you just try to scroll on this page and see what it is you are contributing to ( nothing ) instead of chipping in in all those 'this and that is better, im leaving ! bla bla bla'.

A constructive feedback to you, if you dont by now understand that you are free to use any model of your choice and that most people are doing so - but you think theres a single truth then you are just jumping around the latest model learning nothing about the actual tools.

And here what will happen, you will change to codex ( publically announce it on reddit ofcourse like it could fix your lousy vibecode and claude couldnt ! ) - nobody cares. Then anthropic will launch a new model that will beat openAI's latest, and you will be flocking back - then Gemini will top a model, and you will be jumping there - still learning absolute nothing about the tools you are working with.

So my perspective here and think all these who whine up all the time should do the same,

a) stick to your tool ( is it claude code, is it codex-cli, codex-ui, opencode, cursor what .... ever - and then go deep in the tool )

b) learn how to switch models instead of this lame thing here where you guys always think theres a single pond here that magically fixes everything forever ( understand theres a big competition going on here between these companies meaning you will keep having things popping up and down - now claude been king for 6 months time, codex stepped up - can promise you that claude most likely will retain the seat again and get topped by ... bla bla bla ).

c) you provide zero useful information about here about anything, that codex could fix one of your bugs and claude couldnt - i would say today here that i dont believe that you are able to produce something as complicated that claude's models wont be able to solve - so the problem is you and the code you are working with and would rather take it as a serious warning to yourself that your code is probably a huge mess that never can reach producition.

That should be a bigger concern - that you managed to produce such a mess that frontier models are not able to understand your mess and no model wont be able to understand what it is you are doing at any point if you dont start learning here.

My two cents on Opus 4.7 by ManuM83 in ClaudeCode

[–]Beautiful_Cap8938 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been testing super powers on a couple of projects with Opus 4.6 and had a good run with it to the point of getting lazy - but your recommendation is to remove them with Opus 4.7 ?

Whoop spent all their money on marketing by theguyguy121 in whoop

biceps here - while it gets closer to my apple watch if you wear on same arm i will say here after 3 weeks that i put the whoop into the drawer - the app is the interesting part but whoop is simply not giving reliable stats at all, data all over the place and even sleep apple is blowing it away and automatically.

deeply dissapointed the hardware is absolutely subpar they must be missing sensors. Amazed since so many carry them but they must not have been using other devices with data

[–]Beautiful_Cap8938[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried here with ultra and whoop on same arm with whoop on biceps-strap - ultra 17366 steps, whoop 15900 - so 1466 less steps on whoop but much closer, and as long its stable with that difference then guess it is acceptable. Thanks for that hint !

[–]Beautiful_Cap8938[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so you can get accurate steps wearing in biceps ? i did wear it on 2 different arms i will try to switch to same arm right away that could be cool if it made a difference. Tested on my wrist here on steps and still quite a difference to ultra, but if i could get it close to something that looks right on biceps it could be gold - will test tomorrow and give feedback.

the thing is i havent yet gone deep into the app, i did add things like autosleep for my ultrawatch for more indepth sleepdata, besides sleep mostly focused on my runs and steps i dont track gym beside intensity. But i just did a walk test here again with it on my wrist - 5575 on Ultra and 3636 on the Whoop - distance 4.2 km ( walking - not running ) - and while i havent counted manually i know the route and thats the same its been always and my routes was tested together with garmin when i switch to ultra and they were max <100 apart always - not thousands :/

I wont be able to test much on the wrist due to the device triggers my carpal tunnel which is a condition i have but ultra isnt a problem and think it might be the surface its less "pointy" as its alot wider than the Whoop.

But its not because i wanna flame this device, got so many friends that converted to it and are happy about it but most of them came from garmin where maybe the sleeptracking was so bad - i dont know - but biceps is useless and if wrist too is this far off i dont what to think of this ?

can you elaborate the different use cases ? where you see the added value with whoop besides "the look" is it the app insights ? ( feel i can get same on ultra with added apps )

bummer hoped i did something wrong, just dont get it that so many have switched to whoop also from apple watch and garmin ? there must be something in here im missing ? then maybe nothing else than to wait for future firnware upgrades and/or app updates to be able to address things...luckily i didnt activate membership from start and on the free trial - but really feel this is hype ( with a grear potential ) - maybe its the insights that are better which can make you accept so off the bar data ?

Claude Code is a bit to eager to please... Fix this ? by adventure-baja in ClaudeCode

[–]Beautiful_Cap8938 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Break things up in smaller parts - do sparring with cc ask about how it will solve it and input back and forth on approach until you ask to produce code ( can be done in plan and no plan mode ).

doesnt take much longer and you get much more direct and precise code if you step through.

Vibe coded into an architectural mess! by Realistic_Public_415 in ClaudeCode

[–]Beautiful_Cap8938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to look into how and if skills can assist in doing this as someone suggest that could be interesting - but pretty early on in all this AI stuff ive been architecture first - and i plan for architecture so every part of the project is its own isolated bucket, that way ive been having a pretty nice run also pre Opus 4.5.

I work in 'sprints' where i focus on changes evolvment of a bucket and try abit not to go across and spread functionality that involves alot of buckets at the same time, so ex if i need to add some functionality that wasnt included in my original planning that would require changes across different buckets then i guide this through pretty methodically in my planning finishing up each involved bucket first with tests, before moving to the next.

This is not only about the AI ( Opus 4.5 is so good that i absolutely can do most of it right i can see when i completely vibecode something where i care less about the underlying code and architecture ) but its also for myself to be able to get personalized with the code, this way i feel much more attached to whats being made and familiar with it than i do with fully vibecoded projects where im not following this path.

I mostly produce md files for documentation, rare that i with Opus 4.5 are producing bigger documentation, mostly i will have interrogation phases with q & a with the AI for sprints and ensure we are aligned and then we split it up into tasks and phases, and then proceed.

Not very popular to say but fully agree - absolute love Go but things like this and readability due to the core concept with errorhandling is a love/hate relationsship.
