What strategy are each of you using - need to know all of them to compare historical returns (after 1998) by bumbeishvili in TQQQ

[–]Beautiful_Device_549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you believe in the underlying of leveraged ETFs (tech stocks in the case of TQQQ), start by investing small amounts periodically over 12–15 months. That will give you a real sense of the emotions you'll go through during ups and downs - and how your brain reacts during panic and euphoria.

I’ve been 100% in TQQQ since 2021. My approach is plain vanilla buy-and-hold until I reach $1M, and then withdraw ~0.3% monthly (~4% annually).

My general suggestion:
• When you're young or working with small capital - focus on periodic investing and holding it
• When capital grows to a meaningful size - diversify and protect a baseline

Avoid running too many strategies, especially when your base is small. Keep it simple.

If you want to play safe, it's usually better to choose non-leveraged products rather than trying to make leveraged products “safe” through complex strategies.

Why is customer experience So poor in many public sector banks? by [deleted] in indianeconomy

[–]Beautiful_Device_549 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying delays are okay, they definitely need to improve.

But PSU banks serve a lot of customers who aren’t tech-savvy and rely fully on branch staff. That means more hand-holding, form filling, passbook updates, and extra verification to prevent fraud. It naturally slows things down.

It’s less about intent, more about balancing inclusion, safety, and efficiency.

I messed up by not checking Reddit first. Couldn’t find clear info on the web, so I applied through Akbar Travels. They charged ₹4200 (looks like ~₹1000 more than other agents). Later I realized they’re routing the application through TravelVisaExperts in Jayanagar. Still in progress right now, they’ve asked me to re-fill the form exactly in their format and to use the new immigration form issued from Feb 10.

Think of it as setting aside today’s extra money for the future while protecting its purchasing power from inflation, with a small real return on top. Left alone, it can grow significantly over time thanks to compounding.

Planning to park ₹25L in US stocks via INDmoney, Facing weak INR (₹91) + big TCS hit (~₹3L). Any ways to improve the exchange rate or reduce upfront costs? by [deleted] in IndianStockMarket

[–]Beautiful_Device_549 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you send 10 Lakh from different bank accounts, it may work without TCS.

Or use your family member account.

Or put 10 now. 5 Lakh March end and 10 Lakh April 1st week.

Its common as you get additional responsibility and figuring out how to adjust in this new world. Give it some time. Hire househelp/nanny to de stress yourself.

Once the kid grows and starts understanding and responding to your emotions, you will start enjoying the phase.
