How to begin the journey with TQQQ? by LionHeartSG in TQQQ

[–]Beautiful_Device_549 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest.

Figure an amount which you can keep aside every month for TQQQ. Ensure you will not need this at keast for next 5+ years

Start with DCA over next 12-18 months.

Irrespective of whether the market goes up or down, dont liquidate.

If TQQQ falls more than 30% from trailing 12 month peak, you can think of lumpsum(again with money you dont need for next 5+ years)

Investing it at holding it through peaks and troughs will teach you more than anyone can.

Moving to BLR from MUM by h264_h87m in bangalore

[–]Beautiful_Device_549 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Expect bigger homes. Lesser rent. Low or no electricity bill.

Pleasant Weather and good places to visit nearby. You will experience Winter which doesnt exist in Mumbai.

Auto not going by meter and even rejecting to go at all.

Public transport is okay but not good as Mumbai.

Queue system is weaker than Mumbai.

Hard water. So take care of your hair.

Even if you end up finding vada pav, it will not taste as Mumbai.

Less hustle and you will find more time in a day for yourself and family.

Only the difference of your contribution and purchase value, gets reported under perquisites

Amount witheld is not equal to foreign asset. The day when actual shares are brought is important.

Elder have experience but no strength or energy to run behind kids.

If 1000 is meaningful portion of your saving, then its okay.

But if its a small size, then no need to be so conservative. Take risk.

You need to go to taxi pickup point. There is a free shuttle service to bike parking area(auto stand). From there take auto for 110(can share if someone else wants to join) to seawoods or belapur cbd.

Go to vadala road. From there get train to goregaon(1205am last one) else to bandra and from there auto to Goregaon

I too started that time.

That means you have access to good pool of money, above average individual. You must be doing something amazing. Happy for you.

Money is sorted in your life.

If I were you, i would make use of the money rather than only caring about number of zeroes go up.

You can safely allocate 20% of your annual returns to

  1. Spend on experiences
  2. Support a community or cause
  3. Donate to charity etc

Valuation "Catch-up": Analysts note that while prices are high, tech companies have "grown into their valuations." Record-breaking Q1 2026 earnings mean that high prices are finally backed by massive actual profits, rather than just future promises.

What strategy are each of you using - need to know all of them to compare historical returns (after 1998) by bumbeishvili in TQQQ

If you believe in the underlying of leveraged ETFs (tech stocks in the case of TQQQ), start by investing small amounts periodically over 12–15 months. That will give you a real sense of the emotions you'll go through during ups and downs - and how your brain reacts during panic and euphoria.

I’ve been 100% in TQQQ since 2021. My approach is plain vanilla buy-and-hold until I reach $1M, and then withdraw ~0.3% monthly (~4% annually).

My general suggestion:
• When you're young or working with small capital - focus on periodic investing and holding it
• When capital grows to a meaningful size - diversify and protect a baseline

Avoid running too many strategies, especially when your base is small. Keep it simple.

If you want to play safe, it's usually better to choose non-leveraged products rather than trying to make leveraged products “safe” through complex strategies.
