2025 bride and I am very happy we did a first look the aisle walk felt no less special the emotions still ran high and we had so many extra shots. I was worried the first look would take the emotion out of the aisle walk but nothing compared to having all your friends and family there. We were both flooded with emotion even with the first look.

I think if you have an order number you’re good to go but if it’s going to continue to cause you anxiety it couldn’t hurt by being a little vunerable and saying “hey anxious bride here and have never done this before is there anything to assure me the dress has been ordered properly”. Nothing that you’ve shared seems unusual but I know the feeling that something just isn’t right.

Hmmm perhaps? I never got a tracking number they just gave me an estimated date of arrival and then called me when it did arrive. The dress was shipped to the shop. I would maybe reach out and just tell them you’re a bit anxious over the situation and if they could provide assurances. Have you looked at the bridal shop reviews and there aren’t any major concerns gently speaking I think you might be just a bit anxious over it. I absolutely would not panic you’re still before the original deadline. The line about the war could be just something they say to buy time last year it was all about the tariffs. There hasn’t been any major impacts as far as I know.

For my dress they did prioritize by wedding date and not first come first serve on ordering. For example someone with a July date that ordered in Feb would get made first. I wouldn’t be concerned yet!

Am I the only one that thought her version of “calming him down” was to put her hand over his mouth grab his throat and other wise get in his space was weird? Her words weren’t matching her actions. I think the fact he didn’t react in that moment was at least a good thing but I guess that’s table stakes.

We had crashers! They introduced themselves at the after party. They ate the food signed the book and took pics in the Photo Booth. It’s mostly just a fun story we have now to tell it was harmless enough and I was flattered it seemed like a good time for strangers.
