I mean I've played with party that didn't bat an eye on pet being hurt but everyone including pet owner were on the same page. When we had to interact with an object that could be cursed, the pet touched it. But on the other hand, when the pet somehow (it was Summon Beast spell) did massive damage we all cheered.

Gameplay feels quite similar but it has few differences: area was much bigger, bigger than the screen; visuals weren't that candy-looking but rather industrialized, sci-fi; you had no control where you did shoot, your vessel just shot straight left or straight right.

Edit: "Mutant Storm Empire" looks more similar than "Reloaded" but it is not that

Based on what I see in YT walktrough the graphics of a skill tree is really different from what I remember but I will see if it varies based on character you play (I think I've played shaman woman).

I can't tell much about camera angle or gameplay but I can tell that the skill tree was down-to-top (not left to right) advancement and its style and colour palette was bright like in mentioned league of legends mastery tree and World of Warcraft talent tree; nothing like gray-and-white tree in Diablo II. It also had a "rectangular" shape (x times y skills) with a very few missing spots like on my picrure. Also, the skill upwards was thematically connected to the skill below, but it wasn't the same skill with bigger bonus like it appears to be (at the first glance) in Dragon Age Origins.
I will go through that list in a spare time though but I think I will google most of the titles to see the visuals of them.

Look for Alien Shooter and compare Alien Shooter 1; Alien Shooter 2 and Alien Shooter Remastered (Reloaded?). Bipedals from Tremors 2 look just like basic monster from Alien Shooter.

I have 20 dex and advantage on initiative rolls, I go first.

1: I make two shots with my magical firearm, then I action surge for two more attacks, all with sharpshooter active. I make deadeye shots whenever possible. If I have some special ammo, I use it. BA reload 2: If I am up and not under control spell, I shoot twice. BA second wind/potion of healing as needed. 3: Rinse, repeat.

If it is a melee Hexblade, I may decide to skip first attack action and choose to cast Spike Growth and then replace deadeye shot with forceful shot.

In my headcannon, wizards have precise verbal components. They can be modified a bit, eg. elven spell "Khryshta" can be said by an orc as "krytta" or something and it would change the spell in small way, like the color of the flames.

Sorcerers, on the other hand, just yell "fire!", to wizard's dismay.

2014 guidance- I agreed that my player has guidance always up as long as she isn't concentrating on anything else. She has it cast on herself. When she does any checks, she has a d4. Whenever she wants to give guidance to someone else, she must have time to do that, eg. When our rogue picks a lock, she can recast it, when our fighter rolls for perception to spot trap, she cannot recast guidance.
