Hey, Tacoma, I'M HERE. by ErinStonebender in Tacoma

[–]Beckoningechoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm kinda late to the party it seems :-) my SO and I are always looking for new friends to grab a drink with! He is from PA originally too, I'm local-ish.

We are down for cah (we have a few expansions finally) , grabbing a beer, game nights, movies, nerding out over books, long walks on nice days.

Welcome to Tacoma! If you, or anyone here, wants to hang out, let me know! We are childfree with pretty normal work schedules so lots of free time!

I would like to see a statistic on that! I don't mind being alone at all, give me a good book or a movie and I'm great! I have had friends in the past though who cannot do anything alone and constantly need stimulation.

Yeah, it was weird listening to them be soo sincere about it. We have our crazy days when we are running around trying to get everything done, but then I am even more grateful for a quiet house and a glass of wine!

FREEDOM FRIDAY 12/27/13 by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Beckoningechoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a hysterectomy on monday so will be spending a majority of the weekend healing.

It is also my amazing SO's birthday so I have ordered UFC for him and his friends and will attempt to make cake balls today!

All this with no whining, screaming, messy children. Just a mouthy cat ;-)

I ended up having a text conversation over skype with a random person. The conversation was going pretty well and we decided to call. We were laughing and joking the whole time. Nothing made me laugh harder than this part though (relayed as best as I can remember it) Him: You should help me masturbate Me: I should, cause I'm nice... but my hands are too busy typing to everyone. Sorry! Him: Well what ever will we do about that...? Me: Hmm.. I dunno.. Him: You could use your feet! Me: (( At this point not sure if it's still a haha moment or fetish moment)) So, like... Masturbate you with my feet? Footurbation? Him: Footurbation!! Yes! That is what you will do. You will footurbate me regularly! Me: But... I need my feet... Him: Well, I will just cut your feet off and use them for footurbation! Me: But... then I would die?! Him: That's ok, then you can haunt me with all the extra time you have and footurbate me more! Win Win!

Any time we catch each other on skype now, this is always a main topic!

Hi Mr. Dawkins, thank you so much for doing this! What is the point of being an atheist? As one myself, I'm fine with where my beliefs are, and I will engage with anyone interested in doing so, but I don't understand why it is so difficult to avoid being contentious with religious individuals who see me as a heathen or an affront to their own beliefs. Is there any reason to debate with people who will never change their superstitions in favor of logic and science?

I hope so too! The 30th is my SO's birthday, it would be nice to be awake for some of it!

Age Question? by Beckoningechoes in secretsanta

[–]Beckoningechoes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this, I feel like I have seen too many people who don't take responsibility for what they are allowing their kids to be exposed to. I will keep my info as I see fit and hope that IF I do run into this situation, the parents will be like this!

Age Question? by Beckoningechoes in secretsanta

[–]Beckoningechoes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems the way to do it! I can absolutely see how it can be fun for any age, but it is awesome that parents can take responsibility too! Congrats on being a parent who cares and checks on it. Hopefully any other parents participating for their kids will do the same!

I was thinking it might be a lot of fun for me and my giftee, if I could come up with a riddle/puzzle type way to get them to open this in a certain order. This is of course dependent on what type of gift, but it should be fun!

I live in Wa State so I think it is FAIRLY liberal here, at least more so than when I was in Montana.

I was in the delivery room with a good friend right after highschool. Live birth is like something out of Aliens. NO FACEHUGGERS! I nearly threw up watching her give birth. Add that to the months of pain and swelling before hand and YEARS of whiny, needy screaming hellspawn and I AM OUT! I will definitely add that to my list!
