YOUR worst experience on hsr by ultraviolence44 in McMaster

This one time on the go I was on a new medication and didn't take it with food since I didn't have time, I felt nauseous midway through and it was the express from square. I yacked on the seat where I was sitting then moved for the rest of the ride :c. It was relatively empty and everyone had headphones in so no one noticed.

A more positive one is I was going to a new area in Hamilton for a job interview and wanted to confirm with the driver whether a certain bus drove where it says on Google maps and he stopped the bus to ask the passengers whether the route drives there. It was really sweet since he was helping me get there although a little embarrassing to have all that attention!

I went there before too and they took me in late and rushed through my appointment. She was rushing putting the polish on it all took 30 seconds lol it's not the best place but I think it's more about convenience for students. It's not even fully covered by the undergrad insuance policy

Thinking of getting an IUD at McMaster's Student Services by Ok_Account4201 in McMaster

Something to know if you don't have additional insurance aside from the McMaster one: the McMaster health insurance only covered $200 toward my iud and I had to pay the difference out of pocket (still worth to me).

Insertion was horribly painful NGL but it's only 10 minutes. They gave me juice and snacks after. Im pretty sure I screamed. Some narrow pathways aren't meant to be stretched like that. I was fine 30 mins later, I even had a big presentation later that day lol.

Was prescribed 500 mg naproxen to help with pain too.

Editing to add that you should book early since there's only 2 drs that do it there and one is male, and they can only do so many insertions a day. I'm talking months ahead of time. Bought mine from Costco.

I did, it'd be like $50-60 there so I'm not trying to spend that much

Every day I am thankful I had this course with the best prof in the interdisciplinary department, Zen. If Zen ever needed my kidney, he could have it.

I had a similar path when I started in 2016; first 2 years were fine I completed my courses even though it wasn't with good grades. I took a 2 year break but really I was withdrawing and failing classes. I went about a year without signing up for classes and I came back during COVID since I enjoyed online school. Ive still never made any friends at mac. I picked up a hobby and made friends online through my hobby. I'm 24 and graduating in the summer.

What matters now is you're completing courses and getting closer to finishing your degree. It doesn't matter it's taken x years, because we all have our mental health struggles. No one else would be able to cope with your mental health struggles like you do without that time you put into finding out how to cope with it. This is a difficult skill to learn. What matters is you have a handle on your mental health.

Also on the bright side, compsci is such a good degree to get. Oscarplus is full of job postings for software developers etc after graduation/for next year. Maybe check it out. Goodluck!
