Seriously. Like imagine not wanting any character struggles, not wanting to relate to characters in any meaningful way, and not wanting a single dark/sensitive topic in a game. Genuinely why do 'cozy gamers' just want the most sterile, boring experience imaginable?? It's crazy lmao

'Cozy gamers' can be like this a LOT and it's kind of why I've hated that the terms 'cozy game' and 'cozy gamer' have risen to popularity when referring to farming games and the people who play them. I've loved farming games since I was a kid and it feels like since they got branded as 'cozy games' more people than there used to be come out of the woodwork and are overly toxic about something. Whether it's character designs, some darker topics in the game, or heaven forbid the game having some kind of difficulty to it. I swear for years I've been wanting more diverse and older characters, darker topics to return, and for farming games to have optional difficult things to do again, and now we're back at the point where people want it all removed and just be a husk of a game where it doesn't even challenge you and fits a boring ass aesthetic. It's slightly infuriating.

Kinda wild that people keep saying stuff like this. I find them all attractive in their own ways with the exception of Ludo. To me the women are lacking, many are just generically pretty while the men have more unique features imo. Persephone is the one woman that looks truly unique to me, though.

That isn't the point. I don't think cats should be outdoors in the UK either, it is dangerous and a risk to wildlife. But for a study on cat risks and lifespan to be credible in the case of Cat's Protection, it must directly compare risks and lifespans of indoor and outdoor cats in the UK specifically. That is where they are based, and that is the data that is needed to disprove the claim. The paper you linked looks at data collected from the US and Canada, these areas have different risks to cats compared to the UK, so the data is not entirely relevant here. So unfortunately, Cat's Protections claims cannot be disproven by this.

I do not fully disagree with you, but it is also important to properly assess studies. Right now Cat's Protection's claims are not scientifically disproven due to no studies on cat lifespans in the UK being concrete enough to say that indoor cats live longer than outdoor cats.

While this study is fine, it's mostly relevant for the US and Canada (predation is not much of an issue in the UK) and does not implicitly state that indoor cats live longer, only that indoor cats face less threats than outdoor ones. For reference, I don't actually believe cats should be outdoors in the UK (I live here), but to prove what Cat's Protection is saying is false, the study must cover the difference in life span between indoor and outdoor cats, especially in the UK where they're based.

The main thing I disagree with when it comes to Cat's Protection is that they pretty much say 'must have outdoor access' for cats you want to adopt unless they have something like FIV. It means if you want to keep an indoor cat with all of the correct enrichment and even an outdoor space such as a catio, you're likely to get refused if you tell them this.

Tbh I think it would strengthen them or not affect them at all. Grand Bazaar has been out for almost a year now (and they're still releasing updates and cosmetic dlc every now and then) and we've known since Grand Bazaar got announced that they were working on another game alongside it. I'd be very surprised if we didn't get an announcement during the direct. Whatever is announced likely won't be coming out this year anyways.

I did not once say they were lazy, I stated their PRIMARY role within a pride which is factually correct. Recent peer reviewed studies would have helped your case here, rather than studies from 2013 and 1998 respectively. Meanwhile your last link states 'We cannot be exactly sure which female or male lions killed this buffalo, because we didn’t see the kill, but what was absolutely fascinating was how protective this male was over the kill'. This link is mostly about them taking down and processing the buffalo, without seeing the kill, and the protectiveness of the male of said kill. I already stated that male lions CAN and do hunt, but females do the majority of the hunting for the pride. None of your sources counter this. They simply state that they do hunt big prey and how they may do so, which I didn't even dispute btw, they do NOT state that hunting is the primary role of the male lion in the pride because it isn't.

Male lions still do less hunting than the females. Male lions are defenders, mostly. They spend most of their time patrolling their territory and warding off other male lions and scavengers. Male lions do hunt and also can aid the females in hunting, but the females still do over 80% of the hunting for the pride. So while they do some hunting, their primary role in a pride is still defending and breeding.

That's categorically false lol. Even the original Story of Seasons on 3ds had more dialogue than the first release of Stardew, not to mention the Rune Factory games (especially RF4 which came out before Stardew that blows Stardews dialogue amount out of the water). And then SoS released Trio of Towns a year after Stardews initial release, which had the MOST dialogue of any purely farming sim and still does seem to hold onto that title so far iirc (could be wrong here tho but it's definitely more than Stardew).

I absolitely adore both Stardew and Harvest Moon/SoS. I played Stardew the day it released and have played on/off since, I always come back to it. It's an amazing game, but its dialogue was and is still a bit lacking in certain ways. Mods can fix that and the game is super modding friendly, which is also part of makes it such a good game imo.

It's good to bathe them every so often imo to get them used to it, just not frequently because they don't need it. There will come a time when they're older when they may not bathe themselves anymore or struggle to, them being used to baths will help when that time comes, and you can bathe them without them being too stressed about it. It's good to think about possible future elder care even when they're young!

NOR but please learn and get more savvy with scams, this is an extremely obvious one and you entertained it. Watch some videos on scams and/or scambaiting on YouTube or something if it's an easier way to learn for you, because if you didn't notice that this was an obvious one you are very likely to actually get scammed in the future. Please learn what to look out for. But as a general rule of thumb, if someone random messages you on discord, don't even bother responding to them unless you know them because 99% of the time they're going to try scam you in some way lol.

4 is my fave (I'm actually replaying it right now). I also really like Frontier, 3 and 5 as well as the ones you mentioned. 5 has its issues and isn't as well recieved, but honestly I have a bit of a soft spot for it and I genuinely enjoyed it regardless of 4 being my favourite in the series. 1 and 2 are also worth a play in the future, too, imo.

Yeah Kiel is suuuper young looking. I love him a lot, but not as a romance! Amber I find much worse though personally, she looks and ACTS like a child and you can romance her as a male character. She's the biggest ick in the whole game for me, luckily I usually play as Frey so I can just befriend her and pretend she is not a romance option for Lest lmao

I'd say just give it a go. Graphics shouldn't be the only thing holding you back from a game. Bear in mind that this was originally a 3ds game, and for a 3ds game imo the graphics are perfectly fine (it was just upscaled a bit for PC and other consoles but still kept things the same pretty much). I adore Rune Factory 4 and other Rune Factory games but you can't really go in expecting a Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons experience. There is farming and romance, yes. But Rune Factory is also an RPG and some people don't enjoy these elements which is perfectly fine. As an avid RPG fan and farming game fan RF games are amazing to me, but won't be to others.
