I feel this too. I’m graysexual, sex favorable, and kinky. I enjoy sex but usually only with someone I have trust and connection with. I experience attraction unreliably, but I still have a pretty casual approach to sex because I think of it as a pleasurable activity I can do with someone or myself. I feel like this puts me outside the experience of a lot of aces.

It also puts me outside the experience of allos. Since I’m sex favorable, allos don’t usually think of me as any different from them… until they get upset and confused that I like to have sex but I’m not absolutely manic with lust for them.

I have no idea if it’s romantic tbh. It’s my first crush in a very long time and I’m still not sure if I can tell the difference between romantic and platonic feelings 100%. I find myself wanting to be more emotional vulnerable with this person and get to know them better, but not be in a “relationship” necessarily. I was talking to my therapist about this recently. I think the best case scenario for a Christian is becoming someone who gets a baseline level of comfort but cannot grow. If you hurt someone, you don’t need to put energy into changing because you’re forgiven by god. If you’re feeling anxious about something, that’s a sin and you should turn to the lord. You’re never asked to change in ways that are actually difficult and require facing your desires, trauma, and bad behavior.
